Description

“How many blocks do I need?” Using quilt and block size QuiltSize calculates the number of blocks and creates a diagram. Refine the layout with borders, sashing, and setting — the diagram instantly adds and subtracts blocks to show how closely quilt layout fits to the size quilt you wanted.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Neither QuiltSize nor QuiltSandwich provide block designs. There are marvelous resources available to quilters for block designs — from fancy programs to pencil and paper. If you want to use pencil and paper, check out the app QuiltPaper. QuiltPaper creates unique quilter’s graph papers that can be printed or colored on your device.
Three steps (no in-app purchases!) is all it takes to know exactly how many blocks you’ll need —
STEP 1. Set the ideal size for the quilt. Tap to choose a standard mattress or set a custom size. Then, add side drops, end drops and a pillow tuck until it is just right.
STEP 2. Use menus to select an overall layout, choose setting, set block size, and add sashing and borders:
Layout — Choice of Block-to-block or Center panel
Setting — Tap to switch between Straight or On point
Blocks — Choose Squares or Rectangles
Pattern — Tap to switch between a pattern of Single or Alternating blocks
Sashing — Choice of Horizontal or Vertical layout and Cornerstone options
Borders — Ability to add four borders, width can vary on each side
STEP 3. How’s the diagram look? Not quite right?
Play with menu options to instantly update the layout until it is just right!
It’s your plan, so of course you can share it!
Share your project layout diagram as an Image or with notes as a PDF.

Want help with the quilt math to create your project?
QuiltSandwich does the quilt math so you can quickly answer the question, “How much fabric do I need?”
Just a tap will share the QuiltSize layout to QuiltSandwich!
QuiltSize sends the blocks as placeholders, and adds the pieces for sashing, borders, center panel, binding, batting and backing. QuiltSandwich creates yardage and cutting diagrams for all the pieces. Replace the placeholder blocks with the size and count of the block pieces and you’ll have a full set of yardage and cutting diagrams.

QuiltSize Reviews

Should have listened to reviews! Worthless

Ckwhefam on

This app looked good in previews, it does not have colors you can see when you input the inches for sizes you want the quilt to be, this is not a good app. Stay away!

Waste of money

This app isn’t anything like the pictures above. I ended up uninstalling the app 15 min after purchasing it. Waste of money.

Not worth .99 centavos

626lala on

This program only tells you the quilt size nothing else. If you want any design elements or fabric measurements you have to buy another program. I was very disappointed. The information given in this app you can get for free online

Bad app

Veronicamark on

This app is a total waste. You pay the .99 cents and can only make 1 basic quilt. Do not buy!!

Not usable at all

ghubfthv on

You can’t color or shade squares, so you can’t actually plan a quilt in this. It’s just a large graph and is pretty pointless. Would not recommend.

Totally Unusable!

Very disappointed don’t bother it doesn’t even come close to what it says to do so don’t waste your money wish I could get mine back RIP OFF

Hidden cost

sewandread on

I was very excited to find this app but after I purchased it I learned the features I was interested in were all additional cost. If you want to use the on-point feature it’s an additional .99. If you want to save as a pdf its an additional .99. Lots of other issues as well. If using with an iPad the keyboard is often in the way of the form and you can’t see what your trying to fill out. I’m hoping they add a lot more features to this app as it is very basic for the price. If you want an app that does the bare minimum it’s ok. I would not have purchased if I had of known all the facts about this app. Totally disappointed and a waste of my money. Update: I have since changed my review from 2 stars to 1. I have now had a chance to use this app several times and it is just not worth the money. An additional item missing from this app is giving you triangle sizes when using the on point feature. A list with all supplies and there sizes should be part of your completed project. This app is in serious need of help!

Um...

Go out side, put a dollar on the street and walk away. You will get as much from doing that as you will this app. Seriously.

On-point

The on-point feature made it so easy to figure out how many blocks to make.
