Have been using quip for work. On my laptop I have preferred to use the browser version. But got the app on my phone for easier readability. The app is very inconsistent. Randomly there will be periods where the app crashes within a minute of opening it, and will keep happening. I had to uninstall it and move to the browser version. Then thought of giving the app another shot and the same thing started happening after few months of use. Emailing support@quip had no response.

UPDATE 9/16/24:  App still crashes randomly, often doing basic things like searching for names to add to a doc. 

ORIGINAL:
My company is (likely) the largest enterprise customer of Quip. I use it every day extensively on both web and mobile. However the iOS app has reached its limits — lots of random blank screens, slowness, weird UI issues and whatnot, which don’t happen on the web client. By the way, I have the latest iPhone with maxed stats (15 Pro Max or whatever it’s called). Time to create a native iOS app, IMO.

Worked great about a month ago. Now I am never able to edit on my phone. This week I wasn’t able to see different Sheets on the document only the first one. And now data on the file never loads only random data is available and that is minimal, maybe less than 25% shows and is scattered . No point in the app. I haven’t been able to use it for a good couple of weeks.

The app is generally fine but it gets very laggy after a few weeks of use.  The only way that I can find to solve it is to reinstall the app, effectively clearing the cache.  Other apps would have an option to clear the cache.  I’ve looked at the forums and called Salesforce for support but haven’t found any help.  Salesforce told to me to talk to my company admin, but this is a feature problem with the software, not administrative.
