I have docked 1 star though, and that’s because there isn’t a widget for this app that I could put on the Home Screen, also it would be an added bonus if there was an app for the Apple Watch too. I had not experienced any issues prior to this. So I contacted the customer service team at Quikpark and explained that I had been overcharged for parking. However it came to light that my pass had expired and I should have renewed it. Thankfully Sam read my email and resolved my query to my satisfaction in a professional, prompt and efficient manner. I was very happy with the outcome and how Sam handled my query. I emailed QwikPark explaining my error and asked if would be possible to have the excess refunded. I was expecting to hear from them in about 4-5 days. And I was expecting them to say it wasn’t possible for this reason that reason. I was amazed to receive a response 32 minutes later stating that the refund was no problem and it would processed immediately. Not only that it wasn’t an automated reply but from a real person. This seems to have been resolved and the app is very easy to use and saves time and paper. With the app you don’t have to go to the machine to pay or print off a receipt, if you don’t want to. The staff member at the app company was extremely helpful and responsive and resolved all the issues I had. ——————— Poor app. Once you download it you automatically get charged £3.50 for parking even if you shop at Sainsbury’s and are there under two hours and spend more than 10 pounds - this should be free. There is no way to avoid this charge unless you visit the little hut by the exit and get them to remove the fee. I have just been told to delete the app and then ask the staff for a QR code every time I shop at Sainsbury’s to scan at the machine and remove the £3.50. I messaged the Qwikpark help desk late on Saturday with a technical problem on my account. Resining myself to a long wait, I was pleasantly surprised to get an immediate response from Sam with the tone of the message very “I’m here to help”. Not only did Sam resolve my problem within the hour but generated a partial refund to boot. Amazing service. Now for all those businesses out there who spew out the message “ your custom is important to us” whilst making it nigh on impossible to speak to anybody let alone solve your problem, take note (Barclays in particular).
