Then came the subscriptions..
I’ve been using R4VE for years now, I loved it to death, had zero issues with Micro transactions being used to purchase stickers (which I used every once in awhile to support the app), edited casually now and then for personal use when I felt creative. Would do it on a plane, in between breaks on my shift, free time in between classes. My favorite tool? The eraser tool, unlocked so many possibilities for me. Then early this year I wanted to hop in and see what’s new, to my dismay, the eraser tool was locked behind a paywall. I was really disappointed, I really wouldn’t mind if anything else got locked behind a paywall, or if I had to buy the app itself to use it, but man did it suck that the eraser tool got locked behind the subscription. Though, RM 3.90 for a month really isn’t much at all, I feel like it really isn’t worth it for someone like me, who edits every now and then nowadays, to pay for a month, or any form of subscription when I won’t be using it on a day to day basis. All in all, great app, easy to use, love it to bits, just disappointed that the one tool, and probably the most important tool in the app has been locked behind the subscription. Edit: came back to give it 5 stars, so good to see how far the app has gone and improved, so many editing options and features added! The icing on the cake would be ipad compatibility!
