## RAC Go Reviews in Australia

### *---- "Waste of time"
Didn’t bother recommending it for my nieces, as it was regularly reporting me as using the phone while driving. I always put my phone in my bag, behind the driver seat or in the boot. No chance at all of using it physically, and don’t use voice commands. After giving feedback privately to developers at the time, I was told it was only a minor issue, live with it.I figured the app was a minor nuisance that I didn’t want in my life after that.
-- C@ro.., 2025-08-06

### *---- "Really annoying"
I don’t touch my phone while driving-ever BUT I do use Waze and wear my Apple Watch which means all of my trips with my watch on or Waze on count as mobile phone use
-- Renee6511, 2025-05-21

### **--- "Phone usage is very inaccurate"
Tracking where you’ve driven is accurate.
Teaching phone usage is not. Trips where I’ve not touched my phone get high usage. Then there’s the trips where I’ve drive and not used my phone at all - but my passengers have (my teen kids who are using it to listen to music or playing Pokémon Go as they don’t have their own phones) should be able to be adjusted to accept speed, but not the phone usage.
-- Two Döts, 2025-05-19

### ***** "Great app !"
Great app !

Really helps when leaving work etc so I don’t have to let the family know I’m on the way home
-- Ali.roc, 2025-05-15

### ***** "Great app for family"
I have been enjoying this app. Greta tips for road safety and very useful for family organisation. Well done RAC !
-- Dow undergo Tom, 2025-05-15

### ***** "Nice app"
The app really helps with family organisation. It gives a simple way to check on each other without having to call or text. The safety features and education are great too. Learned a lot and it’s keeping me in check with my driving!
-- Bluue90, 2025-05-14

### ***** "Awesome free family safety app"
Great way to coordinate with my family and find cheap fuel. Used to use a competitor but it was expensive and I heard they sold user data.
-- Aussieaw, 2025-02-20

### **--- "Was good, fell off a cliff at new year"
On 31/12/2023, I was an excellent driver. High nineties.

On 1/1/2024, I suddenly became an okay driver. Low 70s.

Despite having a huge streak of excellent drives, I’ve never cracked 80 since. I get massively high scores each week in my weekly summary… so my actual driving hasn’t changed. Friends and family have noticed the same thing. What gives?

Reexamine the maths/calculation/programming.
-- ooky233, 2024-05-10

### **--- "Good but wrong"
Apparently having your phone in your pocket and not touching it at all will count as phone use 🤷🏻‍♂️
-- VeryFrequentTraveller, 2024-02-03

### *---- "Can’t enable location"
Won’t let me scroll down to enable location services. Pretty basic coding error
