Mittels dieser App bietet sich für Fans die Möglichkeit Renngeschehen visuell einzusehen. Somit werden beispielsweise Positionen der Rennfahrzeuge live auf den Rennstrecken dargestellt. Zusätzlich erhält der Nutzer Zusatzinformationen wie Rennkalender, Informationen zu den Teams und den Rennstrecken. Den Rennteams ermöglicht diese App über eine Autorisierung mittels ihres GPSoverIP-Accounts (setzt die GPSoverIP-Hardware GPSauge voraus) ihre Fahrzeuge für einen gewünschten Zeitraum auf der gewählten Rennstrecke darstellen zu lassen. Die Applikation ist durch die Eingabe von Dritten wie zum Beispiel der Rennteams und der Veranstalter ein Medium, welches sich in seiner Wahrnehmung ständig verändert. An dieser Stelle möchten wir somit darauf hinweisen, dass die Qualität der eingestellten Daten auf die Mithilfe von Dritten abhängig ist (wie z.B. Bildmaterial, Fahrerinfos, Qualität der Fahrzeugposition etc.). Hiermit möchte sich die GPSoverIP GmbH im Interesse der Nutzer bedanken. Zusätzlich erfährt man auch welche Fahrer bei welchem Team auf welchem Auto sitzen. Beim 24h-Rennen auf dem NBR gab es sogar eine Tabelle über die aktuellen Platzierungen der Wagen. Es ist klar, dass man auf die Mithilfe des Veranstalters und der einzelnen Rennteams angewiesen ist, dass alles funktioniert und der Nutzer Spaß mit der App hat. Dennoch würde ich mir wünschen, dass der Zuschauer auch auf anderen Rennstrecken der Welt (beispielsweise bei den 24h von Le Mans oder Daytona) in den Genuss dieses Services kommen könnte. Ich finde es super, dass die Racingapp keinen finanziellen Profit beansprucht. Leider musste ich feststellen das sich ein Teil der Karten nicht mehr installieren lassen. Faszinierend ist, dass es quasi null Verzögerung gibt! Wenn du am Ring stehst, kannst du auf der App exakt sehen, wann die Autos um die Kurve kommen. Damit hat man die Möglichkeit, das Rennen komplett zu verfolgen, auch wenn der Favorit gerade auf der anderen Seite des Rings fährt!
