Froze my phone, kept that Allow/Don’t Allow on my screen and meant that I could not do anything else on the phone. couldn’t unlock it again, couldn’t even turn the phone OFF!!! I’m seeing reviews from 3-5 years ago stating the problems they’ve had and improvements that could be changed and yet nothing has been updated? Why am I having to call them to organise a tow truck to spend an 20 minutes on hold then another 40 minutes on the phone trying to figure out the exact location I’m in? Even when you press the button saying you don’t need a tow truck or it’s not an emergency, you still have to call on the other choices. You know my location, you have my details, my roadside payment plan. Why do I have to spend 40 mins on a phone call?? Fix this app, it could be so streamlined for every Aussie that breaks down to just tap some buttons and have a tow truck on the way with a live tracker. If this doesn’t get fixed, I will put in a formal complaint. All these reviews & no changes! After entering the email and password I was presented with form to give my card details, registration etc. there was a button suggesting that I could use my profile information to fill out the form. However, when I clicked onto the button, it went to my membership card details in the app, and there was absolutely no way of transferring this information into the form, so I had to enter it manually. As if that isn’t enough replication, I then had to enter all of my car details, even though I would have imagined that the app would have hooked up with my profile and got that information. I had to say I had to say what the brand of car I had model etc etc. What is the point of having an app that one would assume is linked to the details that RACQ already has on me? Not sure why. Just prior to this review I had to login, then it offered to setup FaceID which I gladly accepted, then straight after that I had to log in again with email/password for some reason. Probably not want you want to be happening on the side of a freeway. Secondly (and frustratingly due to the first issue) the app doesn’t hook well into the iOS password autofill features (i.e. most apps, which does take some initial configuration for the app dev, offer the stored login(s) and passwords for the “associated domain”). My phone definitely knows my racq.com.au login (it’s within the keychain) however the app seemingly doesn’t support that level of iOS password integration. Once you get to the password field you can use iOS’s fallback of browsing for passwords, however it’s still klunky especially having to manually type the email firstly. Speaking of which the login email text field doesn’t seem to even want to suggest all my emails like most apps do (I.e. usually in an app for an email field I start typing my email and it’ll suggest my known email, however nothing in this case). Also on the member card screen it’d be good if you could copy the membership number.
