Included in the application are the following features: · A thorough explanation of radiation therapy · An original and entertaining game for children · A list of FAQ to assist teens and parents · A storybook in English and French for children · A calendar that allows kids to record how they feel Not only does the RADS4KIDS application assist parents and children in understanding radiation, but it offers entertainment at the same time. This is accomplished utilizing an original game that illustrates radiation attacking bad cells in the body. This game provides the opportunity for children to understand radiation therapy in an amusing and fun way. Further details and explanations are offered in the FAQ section of the app. This is a helpful tool for parents with unanswered questions and eagerness to know more. It also provides parents with helpful hints to help their child through the radiation journey. For children, the RADS4KIDS application includes a storybook in English and French that delivers even more clarification and illustration of what happens in the process of radiation therapy. Lastly, for practical purposes, a calendar has been included in the RAD4KIDS application to allow children to record and health providers and parents to reference how the child is feeling on a day-to-day basis throughout his or her radiation therapy.
