## RAID Calc2 Description
RAID Calc2 is retiring. It leaves the App Store on December 31, 2026. It keeps working on your device after that, but won’t get updates.

Its successor is RAID Calculator, from the same developer. It’s the same calculator, plus NAS planning for Synology SHR, Unraid, ZFS, SnapRAID and Btrfs, RAID 50 and 60, and RAID-Z. Search the App Store for “RAID Calculator”, or tap the banner in the app.

UNTIL THEN, RAID CALC2 STILL DOES THE JOB • RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD • Usable and raw capacity, and how efficient the layout is • What the space will show as in TiB, the binary units most systems report • A drive strip showing which drives hold data, parity or mirrors • How many drive failures the array survives • Speed and availability ratings, with a plain-language guide to every level • A caution before a risky rebuild on large drives, with a one-tap switch to RAID 6 • One-tap fixes when the drive count doesn’t suit the level
