Here's a charming app that will send a lovely notification to you before it rains at your location, telling you when it is going to rain down to the minute. You'll never be caught out in the rain again!

Our PollyCloud Weather Engine uses advanced computing modelling to give you highly specific alerts about incoming rain on a minute by minute basis, even while you travel.

This app used to be spot on with its notifications. It would tell you when rain was going to fall literally to the minute, And be accurate.

Now it fails to even notify you of anything and if it does it’s outright wrong. That’s if it’s even let you know on time.

Considering the weather is extremely hard to predict, this app does an extremely good job predicting bands of rain coming through the city. The closer you live to the Doppler radar, the better. I live in Perth Australia and I'm 50km from the radar site of Serpentine. But this app has been accurate for me down to the minute. However, less accurate if the rain is scattered, but still does a good job. Well done in my opinion. I have no issue opening my wallet to these guys.

Not sure what’s happened with their information but it’s definitely gone downhill. I can be standing in torrential rain and Rain Parrot says it’s not raining. Somethings changed and not for the better.

I listened to a caller talking about this app on a radio show and decided to try it out for myself. I am so surprised just how accurate this is. No sooner do you hear a notification with the words “Rain Parrot” sound on your phone and within 10 minutes. It starts raining. 
If your work or activity can be disrupted by rain events, and by having just a little bit of notice can make all the difference then this is the app for you!
