Es wird stolz verkündet, dass man Rakuten TV auch auf AppleTV nutzen kann. Ich also einen Account auf der Website angelegt und gleich einen Film zur Leihe bestellt und bezahlt, den es derzeit nur auf Rakuten TV legal zum Streamen gibt. Hat super einfach funktioniert. Dann auf dem AppleTV die App geladen und auf den Film gefreut. Doch: Der läuft nicht auf der AppleTV-App. Dort kann man nur kostenlosen Content anschauen, sich nicht mit seinem Account einloggen. AirPlay und Bildschirmsynchronisation kann man auch nicht nutzen, da der Anbieter offenbar keine Lizenzen hat, die Übertragung per HDMI erlaubt. Sicher steht das irgendwo im Kleingedruckten, juristisch formell wahrscheinlich korrekt, aber so ist das für mich nicht nutzbar.

Wer das kostenlos Programm schauen mag, ist recht gut bedient. Dafür 2 Sterne. Doch wenn ein Streaming-Dienstleister, der stolz eine Apple-TV-App zur Verfügung stellt, dort seine registrieten Kunden

Auf der Apple TV+ Box (4K 128 GB) kann man in der Rakuten APP keine gekauften Filme wiedergeben. Es gibt weder die Möglichkeit sich mit seinem Account zu verbinden noch nach Filmen o.ä. zu suchen. Die Menüs dafür sind nicht vorhanden (in der Panasonic TV APP sind die Menüpunkte vorhanden). Nicht mal eine Suche Funktion gibt es in der APPLE TV+ APP.
Die in der iPhone/iPad APP gekauften Filme können nicht im TV/Beamer wiedergeben werden. Verbindet man das iPhone/iPad mit einem Kabel (HDMI) mit dem Gerät kommt nur eine Fehlermeldung - Wiedergabe ist nicht möglich mit verbundenem Kabel!
Eine Verbindung über die Rakuten APP und dem Wlan auf die Geräte funktioniert ebenfalls nicht obwohl ich im gleichen Netzwerk 2 TVs habe (Sony, Panasonic) wird keines der Geräte gefunden (obwohl alles freigegeben - andere Geräte finden die TVs). Über das Spiegeln Handy / Apple TV+ bleibt das TV schwarz. 
5€ für einen Film gezahlt den ich jetzt nur auf meinem iPhone oder iPad schauen obwohl die Rakuten Werbung ganz was anderes verspricht ist schlichtweg Betrug. 
So werden Verbraucher verar….

Auf dem AppleTV macht die App keinen Sinn. Man kann keine Mediathek nutzen, gibt es da einfach nicht und die Autoplayfunktion der Streams nervt einfach. 
Nutzt man es auf dem iPhone, gibt es die Mediathek aber kann es nicht per AirPlay augenschonen auf dem TV schauen. Wäre kein Gerät vorhanden.

Nach dem ausleihen und Download auf das iPad war es nicht möglich den Film über Hdmi kabel auf größerem älteren Fernseher anzusehen. Wgen Kopierschutz?. Das sollte Rakutenankündigen, bevor man kostenpflichtig etwas herunterlädt. So macht es keinen Sinn bei Rakuten etwas auszuleihen.

Absoluter Dreck im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz. Keine tvOS App inklusive maximaler Gängelung des Kunden. 2023 und null Unterstützung für AirPlay oder HDMI Dongle, alles Protokolle welche DRM/HDCP unterstützen. Qualität auf dem iPhone minderwertig. Schließe auf maximale Faulheit und Geldgier des Entwicklers. Ist man also blöd genug bei denen Geld zu lassen bleibt das gekaufte aufm 5 Zoll Minischirm. Die Konkurrenz hat die gleichen Preise und bietet beim Funktionsumfang weitaus mehr. Kundendienst genauso schlecht wie die Entwickler, null Reaktion. Hier ist schlichtweg Betrug zu vermuten. Finger weg!
