Description

RAMSR is a program for young children that aims to support their attentional and emotional regulation skills, as well as mental flexibility, inhibition, and working memory (the executive functions). The program is a carefully designed set of rhythmic movement activities that can be done in a group or with individual children. Activities aim to stimulate some of the same main benefits as learning a music instrument might provide.
RAMSR is based on a number of neurological areas of research including music therapy, the cognitive benefits of music education, and self-regulation development. Any adult can learn to implement RAMSR activities, even if they have absolutely no music training or background.
