Never locked in. Raven is a native Markdown notes app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Write, journal, capture articles, and turn checkboxes into reminders—without putting your work in a proprietary note format. WRITE WITH CONTEXT Create notes with tables, images, checklists, code blocks, wiki links, and backlinks. Organize them with folders and tags, pin what matters, and find anything with full-text search. TURN NOTES INTO ACTION A checkbox can become a task with a due date and time. Raven gathers open tasks from across your notes, keeps each one linked to its source, and can send a local reminder when it is due. Complete or snooze it from the notification. JOURNAL WITHOUT ANOTHER SILO Daily and weekly journals live beside the rest of your writing. Save articles to Read Later, or capture a thought from widgets, Shortcuts, and the share sheet. MARKDOWN YOU CAN KEEP Raven works offline without an account. Keep notes on this device, choose a folder on Mac, or use iCloud Drive to keep the same Markdown files available in Files and Finder across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. No proprietary note format. No forced account. One purchase, with no subscription. ## Raven Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/49/97/43/499743fa-bff1-32b3-9e34-bb9a52462ab6/1.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/31/c7/de/31c7de53-16ae-94b1-ea4b-9df0ecf084ec/2.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/f9/3e/3e/f93e3e8c-7547-d797-7d85-b2a9cf33ed9f/3.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/e9/5b/1f/e95b1fda-aa70-1a92-6459-42534d18691c/4.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/bf/b5/e8/bfb5e8b8-1325-3a20-13ac-ea24ac05c0e9/5.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/16/47/02/1647024d-5bf4-598b-f9ff-ecba992eedd6/6.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/87/20/a4/8720a4db-07a3-2b6e-9dda-d3053928c26a/7.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/9b/22/07/9b2207c0-e2b1-4981-925c-85154227cce6/8.png/1242x2688.png) ## Raven Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 3 (100%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## Raven Reviews in United States ### ***** "Really want to like this app… but -" Update 2: giving all 5 stars following an aggressive update cadence and exceptional dev response. Update: Really impressed by the responsiveness of the dev. They reached out to me almost immediately following my review to outline their intentions as far as the roadmap goes. Very excited to see how it evolves. I’ll likely update this review again following releases! ————- original review————— The promise is convincing and the potential is there, I know it’s new and development is handled by a single person, but current state is not ready for production yet. I was hoping to save my files to a custom location, but it’s only the default iCloud location. Journaling (daily notes) requires sync to be enabled which makes using this as a capture layer impossible, no dark mode, and every time I try to create a journal page it crashes and throws conflict warnings. Additionally the formatting for markdown should function without issue however the syntax is not recognized and callouts cannot be colored as the settings imply. Right now it’s just missing some base level necessities and needs a strong functional testing before I try this again. I will give it a couple of weeks before I seek a refund from Apple to give the dev the chance for subsequent updates. -- THEMaeker, 2026-05-22 [View all Raven reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to Raven - [CollectAll: Save & Read Later](https://apptail.io/app/collectall-save-read-later-azHq/united-states) - [Agenda 2026: Year Planner](https://apptail.io/app/agenda-2026-year-planner-ktcu/united-states) - [Clever Contacts: Talk to Edit](https://apptail.io/app/clever-contacts-talk-to-edit-Wegu/united-states) - [DoThread - Mind journaling](https://apptail.io/app/dothread-mind-journaling-dYxu/united-states) - [Perspective Intelligence](https://apptail.io/app/perspective-intelligence-VSBx/united-states) - [Paso: Timeline Planner](https://apptail.io/app/paso-timeline-planner-GuCx/united-states) - [时律清单：待办&任务&提醒事项&日程&计划&规划&习惯](https://apptail.io/app/app-jYHx/united-states) - [Overdue: minimal to-do](https://apptail.io/app/overdue-minimal-to-do-nTsy/united-states) - [미니 캘린더 — 일정 관리 미니멀 캘린더](https://apptail.io/app/app-bxCz/united-states) - [Contextly Notes](https://apptail.io/app/contextly-notes-UsGz/united-states) ## Raven Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/united-states) - [Brunei](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/brunei) - [Belarus](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/belarus) - [Honduras](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/honduras) - [Croatia](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/croatia) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/belgium) - [Kenya](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/kenya) - [Sri Lanka](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/sri-lanka) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/mexico) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/raven-markdown-notes-wHyz/italy) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
