## RAZ Care Description
Enhance your caregiving with the RAZ Care App, now with an improved experience and a fresh new look. The essential tool for managing from afar the easy-to-use RAZ Memory Cell Phone, a device specially designed for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or visual impairments. It's also perfect for seniors seeking the most intuitive cell phone experience. 
 
Caregivers: With the RAZ Care app, you can manage contacts, settings and monitor all aspects of the phone right from your own iPhone or iPad. 
Contacts: With the RAZ Care app, you can video call the RAZ Memory Cell Phone user (requires setup by caregiver). 
With the RAZ Care app, the caregiver is in control. You can enable or disable features according to your senior's ability and needs. 
 
Here's what you can do as the caregiver: 
 - Add and edit contacts; 
 - Place video calls; 
 - Block unwanted incoming calls; 
 - Set 'Quiet hours' to prevent calls during certain times; 
 - Control repetitive calls; 
 - Create reminders that appear on their phone as sticky notes or sticky notes & audio; 
 - Set charging reminders and stay informed with low battery text alerts; 
 - Enable automatic answering of calls, including a speakerphone option; 
 - Keep track of how many calls your senior is involved, preventing loneliness; 
 - Track the phone's location, battery life, and network status; 
 - Utilize the screen auto-lock feature for added simplicity; 
 - Enable announcements like charging status and name of the caller; 
 - Activate option for low vision and hand tremors; 
 - Choose and adjust ringtone and its volume; 
 - Access call history; 
 - Switch between light and dark background modes; 
 - Manage repetitive 911 calls with different emergency calling options, or the RAZ Emergency Service subscription, including caregiver notifications; 
 - Control all settings and aspects of the RAZ Memory Cell Phone. 
 
The app allows the management of multiple phones by one caregiver or multiple caregivers for a single phone, adding flexibility to your caregiving routine.

### **--- "Great idea but terrible execution."
This is not being built by an experienced technology professional. Quirky, buggy, clunky. I hope they get it straightened out as the concept would be wonderful for helping my mother suffering from dementia.

Having a family member recovering from brain surgery and impacted memory recall, I needed a way to not just keep in touch but for my parent to not feel isolated and forgotten.   I purchased the regular AZ Phone and installed/configured the AZ Caregiver on my phone.  Setup was easy for me at least and only two contacts are needed on it.  My Dad was absolutely thrilled as he had asked for a phone so he could call and now I have one in his hands that he cannot corrupt thru his confusion that he goes thru and starts clicking and playing with things.  I have been sharing this product info with the Memory Care facility directors because this is a life changer for millions of families who have loved ones with Dementia or Brain Surgery recovery who are in long term care facilities.

The simplicity of the phone is great, but as others have said, the battery life is AWFUL. The worst part if that there is an emergency button on the screen, which is absolutely ridiculous, as mostly people with dementia aren’t going to remember not to press it and don’t even have the wherewithal do so, even if they needed help. Raz offers an emergency service to intercept the unnecessary calls, which we found quickly that we needed to purchase so firetrucks and ambulances wouldn’t be dispatched every time my father inadvertently presses this (ALL THE TIME). Now, they are raising the price on the service due to overuse and if the user goes over 20 calls a month (my dad can do that in less than a week), they actually dispatch 911 services)!!! How crazy.  I have asked if they can have an app update that would enable the emergency button be an optional feature (caregiver can determine if user needs access) and they are hopefully coming up with a solution this month (July of 24). If not, this phone will not work for us. In my opinion, this is such a major design flaw and makes this phone unusable for my dad. I’ll report back. if these two things could be addressed, I could definitely give them four stars—maybe five!

This is exactly what we need for my father-in-law. Unfortunately, the app only works about half the time. It either can’t connect to the server and shows nothing or it connects but can’t change anything on the phone. Increase the reliability and I’d give it five stars.

It is a very simple phone for my Mom who has memory issues . I’ve set it up to answer automatically since my mom has difficultly figuring out how to answer it.  The video calling feature through the RAZ app is great.  I highly recommend the phone - their customer service is awesome.

First time user. App has potential, but current version crashes when the More button is selected. One star since some of the most useful-to-me features are controlled from the More screen - devaluing the solution. Hoping for a quick fix!

Have had the phone for about 1.5 months using Mint Mobile .  It will continually shut off for no reason, and they have no way of re-setting it through their Customer Service .  It’s junk

You can't control much on the Rax phone, even as caregiver.  Only basic controls are allowed, like setting quiet hours and viewing call history. You can't delete call history.  Volume on the phone is not loud enough at the highest setting.
There is no helpful information on the internet about problems with the app.  No troubleshooting guide with the user guide.
Problem:  The More Contacts list disappeared on my phone & it won't let me add anyone.  Very frustrating that there is no information on issues like this.Customer support is only open 10am-7pm M-Sat.
