RCA Smart Remote Reviews

Efficient, does NOT collect any user data, free

dndjdheheeufhebbsjf on

United States

This is the real app for pairing a universal remote to a TV. It has a small footprint, no nonsense and a simple, well-designed user interface. For some reason, this app doesn’t appear first even when specifically searched for. A scam app from Evolly show up first and tricks users into downloading then tries to trick them into paying a $39 fee per year. The scam remote app is 185 MB (as of 5/11/24) and collects lots of user data. This RCA is 17 MB and collects no user data. Five stars for the real, honest RCA app for pairing a remote to a tv.

Does not work

I’ve tried this on my Apple TV and it doesn’t work right. When you press the ok button it’s suppose to go into the app, but instead it just wants me to edit the homepage apps. This was a waste of money and time.

Terrible app and remote

It does not control Roku as advertised. The remote also does not work reliably with other devices.

It works but I had to delete the tv and try again it didn’t work the first time. So I’ll give it a 3 out of 5
