## RCT OnDemand Description
On Demand Transit is an on request, stop to stop pickup system available at certain times and locations throughout St Thomas. Certain locations which do not have nearby fixed route service will be available throughout the day with evening and night service available city wide. This service availability is on a first come first served basis. Trips can be booked by app, website or telephone. For more information please visit www.stthomas.ca/localmotion

With a few taps, book an on-demand ride in the app and our technology will pair you with other people headed your way. No massive detours, no bus changes, no delays.

How it works:
-Book a ride on your phone.
-Get picked up on a nearby stop (or door, for parallel riders)
-Share your ride with others.
-Save cash and reduce carbon emissions.

Our app is available in English and French.

We’re all about:

SHARED.
Our routing algorithm matches people headed in the same direction. This means you’re getting the convenience and comfort of a private ride with the efficiency, speed, and affordability of a public one.

AFFORDABLE.
Aggregating people into one vehicle brings down costs. Enough said. Pay with multiple options, including credit or debit cards in-app, or with tickets.

SUSTAINABLE.
Sharing rides reduces the number of vehicles on the roads, bringing down congestion and CO2 emissions. With a couple of taps, you get to do your part to make your city a little bit greener and cleaner, every time you ride.

## RCT OnDemand Reviews in Canada

### ***** "Good"
Worth the time and effort to download the app. As a new person to St Thomas navigating transit was difficult but I found my way around it easier with the app in place.
-- Langa123, 2025-06-13

### *---- "Pointless"
Would be great if it actually worked. Half the time there’s either no rides available and the other half of the time it automatically cancels your reservation
-- Bandit440p, 2024-08-21

### *---- "Incredibly Unreliable"
My bus is either half an hour early or an hour late. They left and still charged me even though they were 30 minutes early.
-- waseeddccfdswefvhtre, 2022-11-11

### *---- "Trash"
It keeps canceling my stuff bro…i booked like 3 times and it canceled it for some reason
-- kenauaj, 2022-10-03

### *---- "pile of crap"
if i could give 0 stars i would. go back to the old transit system.
-- mobro420, 2022-09-15

### *---- "Inconvenient and irritating"
Public transit used to be easy, intuitive, and convenient. But now It’s the exact opposite. There are no schedule bus times, the app won’t let me book an on demand ride before almost 6pm when the places I need to go are getting ready to close. The app is far from easy to use, and it’s over all an irritating experience, that I have no patience for. There’s a reason the old bus system was used for over a hundred years. It worked. It was convenient. You could guarantee what time a bus was meant to be at any stop.
-- moonlilyxx, 2021-08-12

### *---- "Demonstrates the beginning of the loss of clients"
This app is god awful. There is no regular timed routes on the map(which is also useless) and it’s quite frankly confusing. It’s to over complicated for the average person to use it regularly. St thomas transit is going downhill FAST
