Visually pleasing, excellent functionality, and so customizable.

Amazing app!

Amazing app! So thorough and just customizable enough. Never had an issue!

Love this app!

I use the Tempdrop thermometer and I love that Read Your Body syncs with Tempdrop, and how affordable and customizable RYB is compared to the Tempdrop app. Highly recommend!

No predictive feature

sarahgant on

I was so excited to see the app’s recent update when I opened it today (26 Sept., 2022), but am astounded that RYB still has not added a predictive feature for upcoming periods. I messaged the app’s developers twice over the past year+ about this glaring omission, and was assured the second time that it was something they too were working on and personally looking forward to, and hoped to release in summer 2022’s update. How disappointing that this otherwise solid period tracking app is still missing one of the most essential features of period tracking. Am -I- missing something? If so, I hope the team will let me know so I can correct this review. If not, I’m finally going to bite the bullet, end my subscription, and go back to paper tracking.

Love this!!

Puts everything in one place. It’s customizable like a paper chart but integrates with my tempdrop and is right on my phone.

Excellent support, not a crutch

I LOVE this app, and that it integrates with tempdrop. It’s easy to use, customizable, and as a combo with tempdrop is so much easier than the previous bbt thermometers I used to use!!! I read that the app is working on a predictive feature. I actually personally love the lack of predictive features, and hope that I can turn off any future predictive features. Why would I NOT want a predictive feature? 😅 This is my main method of birth control and it’s therefor extremely important I interpret my chart accurately. While predicting my period wouldn’t necessarily throw this off, predicting when I will ovulate definitely could (NOTE: I don’t know if the app plans to predict ovulation! I just read that it plans to predict periods). It’s very easy to rely on app’s to predict our bodies for us but this isn’t the FAM method (I am educated on the fertility awareness method); this is much closer to the rhythm method which I’ve learned not to trust as much as my own interpretation of *current* not past data. That said, it’d be so cool if: 1) I could pull my Sleep Score from Tempdrop, too. I currently add the number manually, which is not a big deal. 2) The Stats section quantified my custom notes; e.g. cramps typically recorded day 1-2, insomnia typically toggled on Day 15, etc. (Note, I don’t see this as a predictive feature. I view it as a way to quantify past data to help with interpretation). In any case, LOVE the app. Good job 👏

Best Charting App

I love the customization features and I love that that the people behind this app listens to its users. It is the best one I’ve used so far. As a new user and a new charter the amount of customization at your disposal can feel kind of overwhelming. When I first downloaded the app I hated it and I felt super overwhelmed. I was previously a Kindara app user. I ended up going back to Kindara for a while. I loved the layout of Kindara but I felt limited by their customization options…and I was on the fence about their “premium” version and the price tag of it 🥴. So I buckled up and decided to give RYB another chance because $15/yr vs $50/yr seemed like a no brainer choice lol Fast forward and it’s been almost 3 yrs since I switched to exclusively using RYB and it’s grown on me. I’ve loved seeing the updates. Yay for Dark Mode haha, and I can’t wait to see all of the upcoming features. Do I wish RYB released updates more often? Of course, but I understand they’re working on a lot of things behind the scenes to give its community what they’re asking for. Are there features I’m impatiently waiting for? Absolutely, but at the current moment the app is doing exactly what I want. The customization of the whole app also has helped make it (for me) a smooth transition from being a TCOYF charter to being a Sensiplan charter.

Love the design, runs really slow

arnorton20 on

I’ve been using Read Your Body for several years. I love the interface, and have been generally pleased with it for most of the time. However, I’ve noticed the app really slow down within the last six months. I don’t know if it’s because I have two years worth of charts, or if it needs an update, but a temperature shouldn’t take a solid minute just to update. Pulling up my chart also takes a few minutes to load now, which has been frustrating. Hope they release an update soon.

Partner notification button CAUTION

Sabrina5252 on

United States

This is a great app for charting, but please warn the users or fix how the partner notification button works because I was testing it out and it sent the notification to my DAD of all people! 😭 How embarrassing. I’m totally mortified and hopefully no one else makes the same mistake.

Great developers, great app

casch on

Highly customizable and completely private app. Truly appreciate the language and options that keep gender and varieties of sexual activity open and fluid. Imports data easily and backs up. Well worth the subscription price. When I had technical difficulties, the developers were very responsive and personable. Recommended above all else!
