Right, since updating to iPadOS 18.6 the app insisted I was offline (I wasn’t). Turning ON private relay fixed this. Go figure. Great app otherwise.

This app makes it extremely difficult to cancel your subscription to the point of scamming. I’m a tech savvy young person pulling my hair out trying to navigate the absolute maze of obscurity in cancelling, it should be illegal to conceal the cancellation process in the way that Readly do. Pathetic and shame on the developers

One way of avoiding the cluttered and so messy Home page might be to offer a setting to go straight to one’s My Library page. I’m sure we’re all capable of navigating further from there.

I loved this app when it first came out. It was easy to find new magazines and easy to sort through what you were looking for. Not now. All sorting options have been removed. You can search by name, which is useless if you do not know the exact name, or are looking for similar titles. All magazines now appear in release date order with no other sort options available. How stupid is that? You cannot even change the sort order, let alone choose alphabetical. Why? 
I decided to restart my subscription after being without it for several months. I had been told things were going to be changed back to having sort options, but it hasn’t. 
I cancelled again after just a few minutes.

I loved READLY when it first appeared, what a great idea so I was in at once. Over the years there have been questionable updates for ‘use ability’ etc none really any good apart from making it less simple and more complicated to use, not all but most. Now with the price hike it’s perilously close to the real tangible cost of the things I read, so I’m making a decision about staying or leaving soon. It was good in the beginning though.

I signed up to Ready a month ago but cancelled my subscription immediately after not seeing anything on there for me.
Today I have an e-mail informing me of a declined payment which is confirmed by my bank account….attempted I go to unsubscribe again but I can’t because I’m already unsubscribed! Would appear there is a glitch in the system which I taking money from people with Cancelled subscriptions!

The app is good with a good selection of magazines, however it doesn’t function entirely as it should if you have no internet connection. 
Sometimes the app will take ages to boot up, or won’t boot up at all when not connected to data or WiFi. 
The “article view” option to make the articles easier to read on an iPhone doesn’t work if you boot the app in offline mode either. I don’t see why this needs an internet connection to function? 
It’s annoying considering the main reason I use this app is for travelling or when at work, both times it’s not entirely possible to obtain a mobile data or wifi connection.
