## RealVNC Viewer Description
RealVNC® Viewer from RealVNC® gives you instant remote access to your Mac, Windows and Linux computers from anywhere in the world. You can view your computer's desktop, and control its mouse and keyboard as though you were sitting down in front of it.

Download RealVNC Connect to each computer you want to control. Then sign in to RealVNC Viewer on your device using your RealVNC account credentials. You'll see your computers automatically appear; simply tap to connect.

RealVNC Connect password-protects each computer out-of-the-box. You may need to enter the same user name and password you use to log in to your computer. All sessions are then encrypted end-to-end. 

During a session, your device's touch screen serves as a trackpad to give you precise control. Drag your finger to move the remote mouse cursor and tap anywhere to left-click (other gestures such as right-click and scroll are explained in-app).

Doesn’t work at all. You select the password field on my Mac studio and type it in and nothing happens then you try again finally it works but nothing changes then ask for the password again. Faster to just go use the computer directly and it does accessing it through this.

### *---- "Not worth a monthly fee"
Used this since its inception. Was a great tool for many years, and easy to use. Wasn’t a fan when it went to the cloud, but continued to use it due to laziness on my part. The cloud wasn’t necessary. Nor was it wanted. Now they want a monthly fee for me to do something that is already built into most Operating Systems. Please do yourself a favour; Learn to use the tools and services already at your disposal. 

Thanks to this, I’ve learned how to take matters into my own hands and feel far better (and freer) than I would at the hands of unwanted monthly fees. 

A single sale would have baited me. I would have paid up to $20; maybe more, but you got greedy and lost a long-standing customer. Monthly fees is where I draw the line. Enough is enough.

i have set up RealVNC on my laptop - with a user email  and password, but after a dozen tries with 3 “forgot my password” resets (though I hadn’t forgot my password!)  “SIGN IN” is STILL greyed out on iPhone. I give up. There must be other PC/IOS VNCs that actually work…

### **--- "Works great until you try to use an external display"
Works great off my iPad, but when I connect any external display it gets all messed up.  I need to select the windows on my iPad to get cursor access, but then I’m limited to a tiny square on the remote display.  If I choose to push everything to the external display then I have no mouse control.  Attempting to access any other apps and rearrange things via Stage Manager causes the VNC to hide in the background.  Real shame - so close!

This is bull. First, they forced us to change from a direct connection to computers on our INTERNAL HOME NETWORK. Now they’re discontinuing the ‘home’ plan entirely and making us pay three dollars per month PER COMPUTER just to remote into out own devices, over our own network, without giving us a choice NOT to use their server on the wider internet just to bounce straight back to our own IPs. 

And also making it impossible for older devices to do it AT ALL by forcing us to update!

Unfortunately RealVNC has gotten greedy and no longer provides a free version for us home users. I would actually pay for it if it was a one time fee that’s reasonable but they want a high subscription fee so they can milk us dry. Not worth the price they want. Time to delete, bye forever RealVNC. Good luck on your new greedy model.

I’ve been using RealVNC for years non-commercially. It is well designed, responsive and intuitive to use. I am able to run Raspberry Pi projects headless with access from any of my devices. Truly a 5-star + app!

I cant connect to a Raspberry Pi running Raspian Bookworn.  The VNC service was enabled, installed rvnc server on the Pi (version 7.8.0 r51458) I switched the display to X11, turned off encrytion, used a simple password, checked I had the right port and ip address, no dice.  I can connect using RealVNC Viewer on my Mac, no issue.

Mouse used to worked properly. Now when moving around with your finger the mouse abruptly stop where your remove your finger instead of dragging for a while and reducing speed. It makes it absolutely not usable to control a large desktop. This is a very bad behaviour change
