I’ve managed to collate all recipes from PDF from my fav eating plans, handwritten family recipes from years ago, internet recipes. All were easy to upload through AI (even some that were hard to read). I’ve collated all into categories and source. 

I’ve created cookbooks to share the family handwritten recipes with family. And the best part is I have the app on all devices and can cook from my iPad. 

Can’t recommend enough!!

I've used this app for a couple of years now and it has allowed me to gradually build a solid library of my recipes. I like that it automatically import them from websites if I find a great recipe on the web, and it does an excellent job of importing all the text from a photograph of a recipe book. Plus I'll always take photos of what I cook and then add it in to the recipe for reference later. I like the ability to edit the recipe and add my own notes which improves the recipe for next time. I've set up a range of categories for recipes I haven't cooked yet and my favourites. Is just really easy than to search for something in your recipe app. Especially like the ability to share the recipe via sharing link with family and friends it makes it really easy to give them the recipe. Fantastic app!!

App is great on phone and iPad. Extremely disappointed that it’s another $49 to synchronize to my Mac….the last screenshot shows phone, tablet and computer and says synch between all. That’s really very deceiving when the Mac app is another $49, won’t be buying it. Otherwise would get 5 stars but I feel ripped off.

This is one APP. I’m glad I finally done it and started using. It’s a great way to keep my recipes and I can access them from wherever I am. Even if I’m overseas and I want to cook something for friends I can find my favourite recipes. It also has a great meal planner. I’m just starting to explore and a shopping list that allows you to select which ingredients you need to buy either for a day or or a recipe.  I’m loving it.

I’ve had this app for years, saved a couple of recipes but never fully understood its potential. I find it difficult to constantly flip between ingredient quantities and directions on websites, not to mention my frustration sifting through the author’s life stories to find the actual recipe.  With this app I just copy the URL for the and import the recipe directly into the app. It automatically adds photos and identifies ingredients and directions, setting them up in a consistent, accessible layout. On my iPad the ingredients are listed in a separate column next to the directions so I don’t have to scroll up and down. However, the phone version doesn’t do this. 
Sharing individual recipes is really easy and I can also export a collection as a recipe book PDF.

I thought this app was brilliant (e.g. ability to import from photos) until I imported my first recipe from a webpage. For some insane reason it converts tablespoons to grams. This is complete nonsense for a cook. Users should be given the option to either do this or to keep the traditional measurements. Two stars off just for that. I now have to manually edit every single recipe I import to fix it. (Developer, you need more flexibility in the measurements! Not hard to scale fractions up or down.)

### ***** "Amazing import upgrade!"
I’ve always thought Recipe Keeper is an amazing app for importing our recipes from various sources.

When the latest version was released announcing the improved photo import functionality, I was a bit skeptical. I coincidentally had to import a recipe from an email thread. Ingredient list was mixed up with the directions; it was a mess. So I had the perfect test. I was stunned with the result. Recipe Keeper had separated out all the components and laid it out perfectly. 

This is a fantastic app for real life cooking.

I didn’t even know these kinds of apps existed until I saw Instagram advertising for another app name, but I was put off by the price so I went looking for other apps. I’m so glad I came across Recipe Keeper. The functionality is great and does everything I need (although importing from Instagram would also be handy). I love that I can easily import the recipes, make adjustments to suit my personal taste, then schedule my weekly meals and organise my grocery shops from it. I use it every week and I think the pricing was super reasonable for what it does. So happy!

### **--- "Disappointed - requires internet connection to scan"
Chose this app after internet search and basic testing. While travelling, discovered that it would not scan as it required an internet connection. This is key functionality that I require, and as my home internet is also unreliable, this app is not suitable for me. 
Neither the developer, nor Apple, will provide a refund. The developer is not interested in ‘transferring’ the purchase to another user either. The software description needs to include a list of system requirements to ensure this doesn’t affect other users.
To be fair, other features of the app seem good.

### ***** "So Organised & So Easy"
We travel in a caravan for 6 months each year so recipe books are too heavy and take up too much room. My recipe collection was a total mess, with photos and ‘copy & paste’ articles on my iPad or phone. This Recipe Keeper app has been an absolute life saver. It’s so easy to navigate and use. I now cook recipes I forgot I even had! I’ve shared my ‘discovery’ with family and friends who also love it 🥰.

This really is a fantastic app. Importing recipes from websites or photos is easy and the ability to share recipes with others lets the family come together in an unexpected way. We all love sharing and receiving new recipes to try.
Note that a work around to instagram imports is to screen shot the recipe and import from the uploaded photo - but other apps have the ability to import from Instagram with one button. This would be a great added feature to enable easy uploading - especially for those of us that have a lot of recipes saved in Insta.

I downloaded so many recipe apps trying to find a free one that is easy to use manage. I finally found the perfect one. Recipe keeper is a must have 💕💕💕 I love it for school as well because it has helped with my assessments. I am now creating my own cook book with family recipes and recipes that I have made for school assignments. This app lets me take photos of recipes then puts it into a digital format and it lets me also gather recipes from online to add as well. I can now print out my recipes in honestly the best format for what I need. I highly recommend this app for anyone. Oh and it also includes a grocery list planner if you need one! I don’t have a job yet so I don’t know if that’s actually useful at all but anyway good byee. Thank you to whoever created recipe planner 💕😝

I’ve just found this app and wanted to purchase the pro version. I signed up on my phone and paid the money ($29). Then went to download it on my computer so I can sync recipes and then I had to pay MORE money just to download the pro version ($49). It should be 1 account. 1 payment. Not multiple payments per device 🤦🏽‍♀️

### ****- "Good, but not slick"
It’s 2024 so I thought “why not use an app instead of my growing recipe folder of documents?”

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to get recipes into the app and to organise them. But I started noticing shortcomings quickly. Now, this is the first recipe app I’ve tried for as long as I can remember so maybe they all have these, but I sure hope not, and even if they do, fixing them would set this app apart!

First, adjusting the servings of a recipe changes the formatting by removing the (mandatory) space between the quantity and the SI unit (e.g., 100 mL becomes 50mL). Please, even if you don’t ENFORCE the SI conventions, at least HONOUR the existing formatting in the recipe. To this old scientist it ends up looking like a spelling mistake 😀.

Second, support conversion, and preference, of units between SI and US customary units. I imported a recipe that set oven temperature to 375 degrees (it didn’t quantify, but the unit was Fahrenheit). It would be awesome to let us edit the recipe to say 375 °F, and then get your app to show either preferred system only or both: that is one of “375 °F”, “375 °F (190 °C)”, “190 °C” or “190 °C (375 °F)”. See how Wikipedia solves this using the {{cvt}} template, both for abbreviated and non-abbreviated (such as 190 degree Celsius or 375 degree Fahrenheit).

Third, the typesetting could be better. For example, align the ingredient list on ingredient, and hang the quantity (and unit) into the left margin. So 500 mL Milk, 2 Muffins and 20 g Mayonnaise would all be left-aligned on the ‘M’. Similarly, in the instructions, hang the step number into the left margin, so all the instructions are left-aligned and the step number does not become part of the step.

Fourth, allow formatting of instructions, such as bold, italics, underline and maybe colour … and automatic step numbers.

IMO, the first above is a must, the rest are nice to haves that would make this app slick.

### ***** "Hidden gem!"
This would have to be the best value for money. I originally had the free version of this which allows up to 20 recipes, & wasn’t too keen to purchase the full version. I then bought a different app that was $8. Worst money spent. I’ve immediately come back to this app & will be buying the full version. Reason being is the convenience of adding recipes, which I use the scanning of photos app. So simple. So quick. Easy to edit. 

I also love the way this app categorises recipes. You can choose multiple options to find recipes eg. Dinner or noodles, breakfast or yoghurt, depending on how you label the recipes. 

Many other apps have monthly or yearly subscriptions, which I am never a fan of as I think it’s always wasted money. This app is well worth the $30 one off payment. Don’t waste your money elsewhere. Just get this app and start organising your thousands of recipes in one place!

I have used the app for about a week and just found out about a limit of recipes. For infinite recipes it costs $30. If they could get rid of this problem I would use the app more but after 20 recipes, I have to delete some. It’s inefficient and annoying. Thank you and make sure to read the review developers!
