Description

Time drills with your Apple Watch and track performance on your phone. Our recoil-driven, AI-powered app succeeds where traditional acoustic timers fail, giving you the ability to confidently time shots next to other shooters, in the rain, and with suppressed firearms.

Track every shot. See every split. Your data is yours, forever.

Easily view shot times from your watch as you're training. Dive deeper post-practice and view shot stats on your phone including number of rounds fired, fastest draw, and fastest split for any given day or period. You can also view stats by weapon type (pistol or rifle).

Recoil Shot Timer was developed in partnership with the Office of Naval Research as part of the Joint Marksmanship Assessment Package for the Marine Corps. Trained with over 20,000 shots from hundreds of Marines and civilians, Recoil has become a fully functional shot timer with remarkable accuracy.

Works best on centerfire rifles and pistols.

Replaced conventional shot timer

BravoKNovember on

I no longer bring a regular shot timer to the range for practice, I just flip my watch over to my other wrist and practice. I cannot recommend Recoil highly enough. I’ve been using this app as a Beta tester for about 8 months and around 10,000 rounds of mixed rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting (including trainup for an IPSC World Championship). I’ve also used the app for students in training courses with 12+ shooters all firing at once and collecting their own *individual* shot times (saving hours of class time that can be put back into teaching) - a capability that did not exist before the Recoil watch app.

Awesome product

Love this app. Easy to use, lots of good features that are easily adjusted in the watch. Seems like something like this should’ve been developed a long time ago, but glad it’s here now… highly recommend!

Great app for indoor and outdoor range use!

This watch has saved me time and frustration. I can finally see my splits on an indoor range without having to deal with everyone else shooting at the same time. It keeps all the data so I can see my progression!

Great so far.

Been using this to run USPA drills and it works great. Nice simple interface. Records accurately. Significantly cheaper than a shot timer.

Finally, a developer that listens...

I've been playing with this shot timer since it was initially released, even when it was drastically overpriced. I stated my concerns and the developers agreed and did what they said they would, and listened. Customer support has been great, the product is improving with each update, I'm helping notify of bugs when I come across them, and the prices have in-fact been decreased to a more reasonable cost. The more people who use the app and the neural networks continue learning from it, the shot timer will only get better. Can't ask for much more! Side note - To those saying it doesn't work due to them wearing their watch on their non-shooting hand... stay with me here.. I know things can get confusing. I also wear my watch on my support hand on a daily basis, but when using the app, it's as simple as taking it off one wrist and putting it on the other. It really is that easy, and then the app will properly count shots, due to the recoil impulse. If you use the app and have it on your support hand, of course it won't register correctly. Your support hand is just that, SUPPORTING. It's keeping your grip tight and minimizing any movement in your grip and lessening the recoil impulse, which the app absolutely needs in order to register shots. You can also adjust your sensitivity settings to better manage this. The app DOES WORK! It may require you to make minor, temporary wear characteristics while using the shot timer, but it's just that... minor & temporary. As soon as you're done, put the watch back on your support hand, as usual everyday wear. I'm not a developer, but I have been slowly trying to help the devs with bug & email support since the initial release, when prices were far too costly. They have listened and have drastically dropped the overall fees associated with the main app. These devs are good people and listen to their user base. Saying the app doesn't work simply because you're not wearing the component correctly (even when it details exactly how in the settings, prior to use), isn't exactly fair, because it does in-fact work. Swap wrists for the small amount of time during usage and you'll see.

Won’t work for me…

It’s a great idea… Unfortunately I do not wear my watch on my “trigger” side so this app is useless for me until this changes.

$10 a month is ridiculous.

Absolutely not worth $10 a month
