No more option to use the bulky item pickup booking. It used to work.

This app only shows usual pick up dates which I alraedy know. I can’t even schedule bulky item pickup, or chat with representative. If they can add these features along with an indicator showing how many free bulky item pickup I have left. And also reorder pick up when they forget picking up my bins, (which happened last week) I can reinstall this app and use it.

A suggested addition: a list and explanation of each of the 7(?) recycling symbols, and the appropriate bin for each. Another: the reasons that things shouldn’t go into the wrong bins (some people think it’s no big deal, and it might be helpful if they understood). Also a blurb about how the wonderful trucks can pick up both garbage and recycling bins and put them in separate divisions of the truck - so many people misunderstand or don’t believe there’s separation happening. The app shows primise, but is literally only 15% there - please expand it.

I find this app helpful in sorting and identification of recyclable materials. I find I use it often, interestingly enough!

Buyer beware I guess. Sadly, the dev has apparently elected to call this app by a name that has multiple service locations but refuses to support anything outside of the greater Bay Area. I’ve responded multiple times to request from within the app as well as to seeking out the report a problem and keep getting told the same thing. “Contact your local recology”. So I guess my biggest problem is that I don’t live in San Francisco since apparently no one on this dev team has the ability or skill to actually add the collection schedule or locations for any other place recology does business outside of San Francisco. I am truly stumped at how such a seemingly trivial ask is beyond the app dev to accomplish. The app should be called recology of San Francisco to make it clear it will not work for anyone else unlucky enough to have them as their provider outside of the narrow little niche the app actually supports. Lame.

Can we also orders trash cans in the app

If you live in an area where Recology picks up recycle and green waste on alternate weeks the reminders are useless! I’ve requested a change to indicate which week it is - recycling or green waste, for years but obviously the developers working on this app either don’t understand this problem or don’t know how to fix it or I guess maybe just don’t care.

For scheduling annual pickup of large items, the app is great. And for checking when your weekly pickup is due it also fills the bill (but except for the first time who really needs to check?). For me, the reason for downloading the app was to determine where certain items belonged, whether one of my three bins or another drop-off point. And this is where the app doesn’t impress. Should it really be replying “Suggest ‘Newspapers’ as a New Item”? Same with milk cartons. Perhaps a little more attention should be devoted to categorizing every item that generates that message.

This app is worthless. You cannot make a payment you cannot see a pickup calendar. I see absolutely no use in it other than to clutter up a screen on your phone. When I first downloaded a year ago I could at least get a pickup calendar but now all I get is worthless search results.
