## Record Your Catch Description
Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters.

All U10m flag vessels need to record their catch. The information is used to help UK fishing authorities manage fishing levels in a sustainable way.

You can use this service if you are a:

- registered vessel owner
- skipper

If you are a registered vessel owner you should receive an invite email. When you receive the invite email depends on your vessel size. You have one calendar month after receiving the email to register and start to use the service.

If you are a skipper contact the owner of the vessel to get an invite.

If you are a member of a producer organisation and lease quota you should not use the online record your catch service and should continue to record your catch using a paper logbook.

This service replaces:

- the NEP1 form
- the MSAR1 form, however, depending on your location, local IFCAs may require additional information
- the requirement to complete a log book when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe)

## Record Your Catch Reviews in United Kingdom

### *---- "Constant issues"
Weekly issues from minor bugs where you have to close the app and re-open just to get it to sometimes work. And major problems occur where the app won’t work at all, I call the mmo office in which sometimes they don’t even pick up the phone and if they do I’m told to delete and re-download the app. If that doesn’t work I have to wait for 1-3 weeks for the app to be in working order again, (They dont tell you that the app is up and running again, you have to find that out for yourself) all this time I run the risk of being prosecuted over something which is not my fault and out of my control.
-- DWNNDWNN1234, 2024-10-14

### *---- "Useless"
Spent over a hour on this, asks 2 questions (name of vessel) and (did I fish today) that’s it! Grrrrrrr
-- dodgie clam, 2019-12-31

### *---- "Continuously crashing"
I Try to open and it immediately closes utterly useless
-- rrm111, 2019-11-08

### *---- "Rather throw myself over then do this."
So after entering all details of my trip I had to log species which apparently are nonexistent due to the app being broken.
But the amount of extra info I have had to put it before this point compared to the paper logs just makes me want to quit being a skipper or just throw myself over the side between you the MMO and IFCA you are making this job a living nightmare. Thanks for ruining a 25 year long job for me.
-- shrivels, 2019-11-01

### *---- "App doesn’t even load!!"
App won’t even open on my phone how am I supposed to do this? 😡
-- 'mfhhvdyj, 2019-10-31

### *---- "No fish available?!"
No matter what fish you type in, no fish come up. Therefore the data can not be input. Seems a tad ridiculous to get people to use the app before it’s even working properly
