This is not that app. Recount is for people with a full life. A student balancing studies with everything else that makes life worth living. Someone with a job they care about and hobbies they are not willing to give up. A person whose priorities just shifted and needs a system that shifts with them. Anyone who has looked at a productivity app and thought this was not built for someone like me. You are not trying to do more. You are just trying to keep moving forward without putting everything else on hold. That is exactly who Recount was built for. The idea is simple Once a week you pick a small number of sessions across the things you want to keep moving forward on. Two workouts. One hour on that side project. Something for future you. That is it. Everything else, the people you love, the hobbies, the rest, that is just your life. It runs alongside. It does not compete. Finish your sessions and the rest of the week is completely free. No guilt. No voice in the back of your head. You showed up. You earned it. And if a week falls apart because sometimes life just does, Monday resets everything. No debt. No punishment. Just forward. You are not falling behind Most productivity apps have a way of making you feel like you are. The broken streak. The overdue tasks piling up. The daily targets you missed. Recount does not work that way. One bad week is just a bad week. It does not erase what came before it or make the next week harder. You just start again. Over time Recount keeps a quiet record of every week you showed up. A colour coded dot for each week of the year. It is not asking for perfection. It is just showing you that you kept going. And over a year, over two years, that adds up to something real. Life changes. Your plan keeps up. Priorities shift. A new chapter starts. Something that mattered last year matters less now and something new takes its place. Recount does not lock you into a system. It just holds whatever matters to you right now and helps you show up for it a little bit each week. Your life will keep changing. The system stays the same. Built from a real life Recount was not built in a dedicated studio with uninterrupted blocks of focus time. It was built around a full time job, a family, hobbies, and all the other things that make life what it is. Getting it done was itself the proof that the concept works. A few sessions a week. Consistently. For a long time. That is how this app got built. That is how it works for everything else too.
