## Recreated ZX Spectrum Description
This is the official companion app to the Recreated ZX Spectrum - the only authorised, full-size recreation of the 1980s personal computer... the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.

The three most significant ZX Spectrum games of all, ‘Chuckie Egg’, Jet Set Willy’ and ‘Manic Miner’ ... are exclusive to the Recreated ZX Spectrum.

At launch, this Recreated ZX Spectrum companion app (and the online web app - which is available at RecreatedZXSpectrum.com) will include, ‘Chuckie Egg', 'Sinclair BASIC' (so that owners can learn to and write computer programs with the recreated device) and a huge game bundle. More games and applications will be available with each update of the apps (and the online web app).

Yet more games and applications will be available from 3rd-party vendors. A list of games and applications for the recreated device can be found at RecreatedZXSpectrum.com The list will be kept under review and will continue to be revised, as new games and applications become available, well in to the future. Games and applications from 3rd-party vendors can also be found by searching the App Store, using the search terms "Recreated ZX Spectrum".

This app can also be used without the Recreated ZX Spectrum ... using touch screen controls, (when doing so be sure to change 'original game controls' to 'iDaptive game controls' within the app) ... and includes information about the recreated device, including details of from where it may be purchased.

About the Recreated ZX Spectrum online web app:

When using the Recreated ZX Spectrum with the online web app (for Macs and PCs) ALL OF THE INCLUDED GAMES AND APPLICATIONS ARE FREE OF CHARGE. This is because the Recreated ZX Spectrum online web app can only be used with the recreated device.

## Recreated ZX Spectrum Reviews in United Kingdom

### *---- "It does not open all the time"
It either opens & does not fit into the window on the IPad or just says manic Minor on the screen but no game lows. Randomly the game plays ok, but not often enough.
-- KazzaO1, 2024-12-01

### *---- "Can’t restore purchase?"
I bought this on my iPhone but it’s not there on my iPad like other games which is annoying as it’s too small on a phone.
-- Gem 😀, 2024-11-15

### *---- "Woefully out-of-date and broken"
I’ve written iPhone apps, and I know it’s not always easy to keep them current as new hardware is released. However, this app is still (apparently) accepting in-app payments, so there’s no excuse for it being broken. If you accept payments, fix your app.

Controls are off the screen. Audio (I thing) doesn’t work; it’s all just quite unsatisfying.
-- Andrewf554, 2024-09-07

### *---- "Awful"
No controls work. Keyboard and joypad controls don’t function. Shame as a retro look back at Sinclair games would be great. But this is utterly awful.
-- Sailingwill, 2023-10-30

### *---- "No BASIC programming"
This is just a platform to purchase (or, judging by other reviews, repurchase) a few old classics. They're a bit pricey though. App deleted.
-- Jon_Dodson, 2023-07-31

### *---- "Doesn’t work on my iPad Air - don’t buy it. No support available either."
The title says it all…
-- Salty35, 2023-03-15

### *---- "Game doesn’t load"
Why does the title page just hang? Nothing loads
-- Kermit2110, 2023-03-03

### *---- "Looks nice but functionality is BAD"
C’mon peeps, you did a great job on all the graphics here with this range of Sinclair Spectrum apps- but now you have my money & I have several non-functional games!!! I just wanted to play ANT ATTACK for a big nostalgia trip. Manic Miner I won’t try buy after hearing it doesn’t work either. Looks great though!
-- Morganic88, 2022-01-03

### *---- "Rip off"
Just wondering where all the games I purchased. At least over 20quids worth. Installed it on a new iPhone and ta daaa not there!! Great way of ripping people off. Uninstalled
-- Mazamoz, 2021-11-22

### *---- "Portrait mode only?????"
You have got to be kidding. This awful app only works in portrait mode. Don’t bother with it.
