## Reeder Classic Description
Keep control of your news reading with Reeder Classic, RSS reader and read later client in one app, now with support for iCloud syncing.


FEEDS
Sync all your feeds and articles with iCloud. Reeder Classic comes with a built-in RSS/Feeds service which will keep everything in sync on all your devices. Of course, this is optional. You can still just use one of the many third-party services supported by Reeder or just RSS (without sync).


READ LATER
This is Reeder's built-in read later service which stores all your data securely in iCloud. A sharing extension allows you to add links from outside of Reeder.


BIONIC READING
A higher dimension of reading. With Bionic Reading you read texts with more focus, awareness, and sustainability. Read more about Bionic Reading at bionic-reading.com.


WIDGETS
View most recent articles, configurable to only show items from feeds, folders, searches (for services that support searches) or tags (for read later services).


MARK AS READ ON SCROLL
With version 5, Reeder finally supports marking items as read while scrolling. Off by default, this can be enabled on a per-account basis.


READER VIEW
Enter Reader View (for feed items and read later links that support this) for a clutter-free reading experience directly in Reeder's article viewer. You can enable "Automatic Reader View" on a per-feed basis to always load items of a feed with Reader View.

Good app, I’ve been using it for years. Bionic Reading is not for me, I find it distracting and - to be honest - a little annoying.  I see in the settings you can reduce the effect, but I can’t seem to turn it off.

RSS is still the best way to get your reads, I don’t want watered-down Google or Apple News experiences. And Reeder is still my go-to, despite it having a few obvious issues.

It’s the combo of RSS and other services which makes it great for me… Since Pocket obliterated their app and made it unusable, the best thing about Reeder for now is it serves as a much better Pocket articles reading experience.

I wish they’d add Pinboard support, other readers have it, and it’s frustrating that they still give you no way to delete articles without 3 taps (should be on the list view) but hey ho, its otherwise great and dependable.

This is a great app, one of the most useful I have experienced in my 10 years of having an iPhone. This is way beyond the stock Apple News app and has absolutely 0 adverts. I love this app. It’s so polished it’s unbelievable. My only suggestion would be if you could allow push notifications for particular feed, now that would be excellent as you could be notified when something is published! I hope that could be added soon! Well done and great work!

### ***** "Keeping a dying breed of apps alive."
RSS readers don’t seem like the most popular app category. Anecdotally, I don’t know anyone else who uses one, and very few people who know what an RSS feed is or does.

That’s a shame, because when an RSS reader is done right - as it is with Reeder - then it’s by far the most intuitive, personal, digestible way to experience written web content. And it offers up that content in a way that values your time, unlike the websites themselves, which just want to swallow as much of that time as possible.

Reeder is a fantastic RSS reader. In fact I think it might be nearly perfect. It does the essentials incredibly well: it lets me aggregate content from the websites I read regularly, and it keeps that feed in sync across all my devices. It also does a better job of capturing content to read later than some services dedicated to doing just that.

Reeder is also a bit of a masterclass in UX design. It’s clean, clear, attractive, and immersive. I never read a story through Reeder and wish I’d read it natively on the publication’s website instead, which is high praise.

It’s frustrating that so few people use RSS readers, because they’re still - for me - the best way to make web content work for you. And everyone who should really be using an RSS reader should also be using Reeder, because it’s the best one.

I was perfectly happy using Reeder 3.2.4 but, with the upgrade to iOS 14.2, it stopped working altogether. It doesn’t even launch anymore. I then paid the £4.99 for Reeder 5 only to find out that it doesn’t automatically load the feeds stored with the previous version (a perfectly reasonable expectation). So now I have a brand new version which I didn’t need nor want, with no way to load all the feeds I used to have and cannot recover from a suddenly broken previous version. Way to support your users.
