## Remootio Description
This application is the companion app to be used with the smart home hardware product Remootio.

Remootio is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled end-to-end encrypted smart remote controller, that makes your old gates and garage doors smart. With Remootio you can control and monitor your gates and garage doors using your smartphone.

Thanks to Remootio's Bluetooth connectivity, you can control your gates even when WiFi is not available at your gates or when the internet service is down. You can also connect Remootio to your home WiFi and connect it from anywhere within your house. In this mode, no data goes through the internet. You can also set up internet access easily with one click in the App.

•Share keys easily with friends and family by scanning a QR code or sending a link. You can revoke keys and access rights any time.
•Auto-open: Remootio can open the gates automatically as you approach them if you turn on the auto-open feature from the Remootio app.
•You can check whether your gate is open or closed from the Remootio app any time. This feature is only available if the sensor is installed.
•Remootio can send you notifications if a certain key holder operated the gate, it was left open, or if someone rang your doorbell
•Manage as many Remootio devices with the simple app as you wish
•Customize the app by selecting different background colors for different devices, and taking photos of your gates and garage doors to appear for each device.
•You can enhance your Remootio with a range of accessories:
     - A status sensor which tells you whether your gate is closed or not
     - You can connect your doorbell (or any button) to Remootio to get notifications when someone rang it.
     - You can connect a manual open button (which you can enable or disable from the app) that opens the gate or garage door when it is pressed.

Installation of Remootio 3 device was simple after looking at the instructions online, now I’ve got a smart garage door that can be operated via this app as well as Siri shortcut! Much better than buying more remote controls if you ask me. “Keys” can be shared and controlled by the administrator, i.e. family or guests just need to download this app and with a shared “key”code (QR or email) they are set to operate the garage door or whatever is hooked up to the Remootio device. No subscription required. Brilliant. Game changer!

I have been using the product on my garage door for around a year and everything worked fine at the start. The only issue I had was that the auto open function worked so far away that the minimum distance would open my door driving past on a neighbouring street. Slowly the product has become nearly unusable I cannot use satellite or wifi to open my door anymore only Bluetooth works now. There is no support through to app to troubleshoot or fix the issues. DO NOT buy this product.
Also another issue is my wife has never been able to operate the product with her Apple Watch. Very poor quality product and do not recommend.

Love the Remootio 3 and app. Needs apple play integration! Being able to open ur gate from a street away in the car would be great.

The remootio is very good but the remootio outdoor camera is horrendous it needs to better integrated with the app, very delayed even though its hard wired

Gate sensors not detected again over WiFi, only indicates the device is connected. Would be great to get this fixed.

### **--- "Latest version makes Sensors useless"
Recent update on iphone has a bug where gates with sensors say “Sensors are not enabled”. So you don’t know if it opened or closed. The bug seems to be intermittent as occasionally it displays gate sensor status but generally not. Needs fixing quickly.

Since the latest app update it keeps saying my sensors aren’t enabled on WiFi but shows them (most of the time) on Internet and Bluetooth. It then shows up in Wifi mode until the app is closed.

I haven’t had any issues with them in the past and have been very happy with the 3 devices I have had for some years now.

Crashes in around 2 seconds when I hit “add new device”. Tried reinstalling app and tried on 2 other phones.

The notifications on my Wife’s IPhone don’t work. Clearly a known issue as there is a “fix”. But it also doesn’t work. Waste of money if you can’t receive the door bell notification.
