Works, but could be better
It doesn’t use the WiFi in the scale to do background updates. You have to open the app to get the latest readings onto your phone and piped to the other apps you are actually using to monitor the data. It shouldn’t check frequently to save battery in the scale and the phone; so, having the check frequency settable would be good. I would probably pick the once a day… The app user can’t remove the annoying and time consuming weight and BMI animations when you configure the scale. They are cute the first couple of times, but a waste of time after that. Speaking of BMI, it is nearly total junk science. It’s just your weight times your height. Given that height doesn’t change, it’s exactly the same as tracking your weight. It’s also a poor indicator for individual health: if you don’t believe me, compute the BMI for any NFL football team. The BMIs will claim they are all unhealthy! BMI has some usefulness for statistical analysis, but it’s too wildly variable to use to assess an individual’s health.
