One time i put my reservation to, I sodi (a popular, very hard to get into NYC restaurant) and someone claimed it. A couple months later i had another reservation at, I sodi which I planned on going to but they texted me that my reservation was cancelled because I used a 3 party to give my reservation to previously. Of the reservations I gave, they happen to be because either I couldn’t make it or some other plans came up. I submitted these reservations a few days in advance and they were all claimed, or so I thought. Of those, after being claimed for basically a whole day, some of them were canceled within hours or minutes of the reservation when I had this booked for days and the restaurant would see my name if the person who “claimed” it doesn’t show up. This isn’t fair to someone that is trying to help out the community. I’d rather keep good standing with these restaurants and cancel right away than have to deal with random people canceling on my behalf last minute.
