This really is a superb turn based RPG. The graphics are very beautiful and the setting complex (the Fae, Norse mythology, Steam Punk- see the trifle guys review). Nice music and sound effects, and the dice rolling makes for a very tactile experience. I'm about half way through after a good few hours play. It does get difficult as a magic user (stealth and warrior classes also available), and you really need to think, use strategy, and use everything at your disposal to win the battles. I just spent two days playing this game through twice nonstop when I really should have been working. I love it. The dice rolling system is really well thought out, and the different talent trees give combat an entirely different feel the second play through. There are no junk options - even the talents I was leery about taking at first soon proved their worth. The dialogue can be a little clumsy at times - the game doesn't take itself too seriously. Your grandmother is the only other character to be really fleshed out. The setting though is inspired and the artwork really fits. The gameplay is absolutely top notch - there are a few times the game has you doing something different with a stealth-like mechanic, which works really well. The final battle is really satisfying and is an epic conclusion to the whole tale. One tip - don't be afraid to drink as many potions as you need to, and stock up on them at the store between vaults.
