Ring Smart Lights let you control and schedule lighting easily. Some models can even notify you about motion nearby, and trigger other compatible Ring devices to record.

Ring Alarm systems let you monitor entrances and indoor spaces, and detect certain safety hazards. Enroll in Ring Alarm Professional Monitoring* (compatible Ring Protect subscription required) to request dispatch of emergency responders when your Ring Alarm is triggered.

I never knew buying a new phone would prevent me from being able to sign into my account even though I signed in with my username and password. They require a verification code but they never send it. Then they say do the verification ID. So I go there, first click, “your time has expired.” I email them,  nothing. This is how new companies prosper, when the previous one’s customer service is so bad you’re forced to switch. What gives, Ring?

Worst update! No, it no longer works at all on my iPad, iPad is using latest update and using the latest version of Ring that I deleted and reinstalled, but still constantly freezes and won’t respond to any touch at all! Please fix this!

The app works fine. The one feature I want to work for device scheduling to turn off notifications during certain times of day doesn’t work on any of the devices I have (door bell, security lights). Have reinstalled the app, adjusted motion settings, etc, nothing works. Must be an app issue.

Why the heck did you move the Lock icons to the bottom of the dashboard? Very user unfriendly update that wasted my time trying to figure out what I did wrong. Only to find it’s the app update. Put it back.

I’m not sure what came up in their “user research” or “design sessions” but it clearly didn’t work. They attempted to fix something that just wasn’t broken. 

Now i have to swipe to look at my most used devices (my locks) and I don’t really know how to even look at my sensors anymore.

There was a time when Ring support and customer service was exceptional. Those days are gone and like many companies Ring now outsources customer service to a different country. Ring was fully aware of the design flaw for the new doorbell cameras that involves the attachment screws and the tool needed to remove those screws. Instead of admitting the error and replacing the device with a device that allows the customer to remove and recharge the device, Ring opted to stand silent and leave the customers hanging. So disappointed with this company.

Now you have to scroll to the bottom of the screen to use things like door locks. Also the recent tab doesn’t display new events on cameras anymore. Put it back the way it was.

Car Cam Notification Ringtone:  in the latest Ring update someone decided that it would be a great idea to change the Notification Ringtone to “Ring Default” which basically blasts out the tone the same as when someone is at my front door pushing the Ring Doorbell button!  And this is only for the stupid notification that says, “Car Cam turned off to conserve your vehicle’s battery” which happens multiple times a day (that’s a whole other story).   So I get these loud annoying alerts that makes me think someone is at my house ringing my doorbell but no, it’s just this stupid conserving battery notification.  And no, there is no menu to allow users to change Notification Tones, only Alert Tones. Which simply means developers did it. Great job guys. The more you mess with this App the worse you make it. You should have left well enough alone!

We have been using the Ring doorbell for about 6 years with very few problems but this latest update no longer sends notifications to our iPhones. We can still receive notifications on our iPads but that is not helpful since our iPads are the device that we consistently use. We are using iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Plus. Both phones are using iOS version 18.2. The iPad Pro (1st generation) and iPad Pro (3rd generation) are both using iPadOS 18.2

I receive push notifications for motion alerts but am now unable to connect to any of my cameras to see what is actually causing the alert. Fix it. Your system is popular because it is easy to use. Can’t delete the app from my phone to start fresh either. Make it “just work” again.

Just started with Ring doorbell pro 2 after several years of Nest.  The Ring App works fine and seems easy to use, and the camera works fine as well. Reading between the lines of other reviews, I’d say the slew of recent negative reviews has more to do with those expecting too much for “free” forever than something actually wrong or poor with the app or camera.  Just saying!

** update I see there was an update with bug fixes a week ago. I still have an extremely annoying banner covering some of my cameras, every time I check them. It won’t go away. I have Ring subscriptions to cover all my cameras and it keeps telling me one is expiring. Wont go away. And they didn’t fix any of the camera counts. There’s a blue dot next to the name of it went off. GO BACK - P L E A S E ! !! !! !!

Please go back to previous version. I need the counts on History and the count for each camera. I have a bunch of cameras and now have to look at every camera to see if they were activated. Impossible! The only good thing in the update is to see that you have alerts turned off for a camera. Not worth it. BRING BACK previous version asap.
