Great vac but Poor privacy protection
Bought S8 Pro Ultra June 2024, very happy with it, but the app requires too much access to my network and phone and associated data in order to use the app/vac. I noticed since I started using the vac that I started getting an large number of scam emails but thought this might be for some other reason. This week I decided to update all my passwords, network, email, isp just in case I had been hacked, and all emails stopped, but today I needed to use the vac so connected it to the network again, with the new password, and within 5 minutes the scam emails started again. This company does not appear to take data and privacy protection seriously, which is extremely concerning and tarnishes their very good products, and it also makes me question the purchase of this vac, and caution others.
Automatically deletes map
The robot itself it amazing but the app just annoys me. Every month or so the app deletes the map of my house for no reason and doesn’t even notify me. Every-time it happens I have to scan the whole house again, edit furniture, cleaning modes, rooms, etc. Needs to be fixed ASAP.
Please support tinted/dark icon and widgets
Please better support dark/tinted icon mode and for your widget! Please also do not advertise in the app. I will not be happy if you do.
Could not love this more!!
My partner thought I was joking when I asked for a robot vacuum cleaner for Christmas. A work colleague had just got hers in early October and RAVED about it. For me, this has been a game changer. I CAN be super woman with Rocky. lol… It’s amazing to be able to have the floors clean all the time with no effort. Everything feels fresh and I’m not stressing about having enough time to get everything clean. On the weekends, i can dust and tidy up one end of the house, set Rocky loose there while I dust and tidy up the other end. Sit down and have a glass of wine while Rocky finishes the clean up. During the week, I just start Rocky off to do the tiled areas as I leave work and everything is sparkling clean when I get home. Beyond happy and highly recommend.
$2500 device comes with ads in app
They have now added ads to an app that’s required for a $2500 robot vacuum cleaner to work, completely unacceptable. I do not recommend Roborock anymore and will not buy them again in the future
The app now has ads! Outrageous
I cannot believe that a premium product would have the revenue need or such disdain for their customer base, that they would force ads into the app that is controlling the vacuum. Seriously, whoever signed off on this idea at Roborock should be sacked
Disappointed by Ads
I’ve been a loyal Roborock customer, investing in your premium products for their quality and performance. However, I’m deeply disappointed to see ads appearing in the app. For a product at this price point, this feels unnecessary and out of place. Customers expect an ad-free experience as part of the premium package they pay for. Please reconsider this decision—it detracts from an otherwise excellent product and user experience
