I am a French. Canadian who travelled 11 hours by plane from Kelowna to Paris . A wonderful young man working for Roland Garros helped us get grounds tickets on child day to see top seed players . Practice . We saw Nadal twice practice with Rune (Denmark ) we watched Sinner practice with Nadal. And then got to see Novak Djokovic.live Practice with his practice coaches . Very cool . We enjoyed that day so very much and appreciated the special activities Roland Garros had for the children . Tennis jugglers , Mini tennis matches and bubbles floating through the air . What a lovely day as it was not too crowded . After this day we tried to get tickets on line . We tried and tried and tried to buy tickets on line but could not . Frustrated with the online system we flew to Spain and began watching tennis matches on TV . In several Irish pubs . We couldn’t believe the spectator bleacher stands were so empty . Even when our Canadians played there were hundreds of empty seats . Disappointing the online system would let us buy tickets to any of these matches while we were in Paris. We might come back but now the tickets are WAY TOO expensive . Too bad they didn’t sell ground pass tickets . Then have a resale booth where we could buy them for less like Wimbledon . So sad there are so many empty seats in the stands when we as Canadians would have purchased ticket coming all the way from Canada I am very disappointed in the way the tourn was next was organized making it difficult to get tickets . For many matches big and small . I won’t be coming back because of this and won’t recommend French open to anyone . Go to Wimbledon instead .more user friendly . The French out priced the tickets . Made it difficult to attend . & participate .
