For Installers: Installation made simple… Configuring Rolec EV chargepoints and managing your installation projects has never been easier! Designed with installers in mind, the Rolec EV Connect app enables seamless chargepoint configuration in just a few taps. All you need is a phone equipped with a camera and Bluetooth and you’re good to go. As chargepoint configuration is carried out over Bluetooth, installers can use the app wherever the location. This means that even in the depths of an underground car park or a remote location, it’s still possible to carry out the configuration. • Create an Installer account to configure chargepoints. • Easily enable communication to the chosen chargepoint management system or app. • Perform test charge sessions on each connector. • Manage home and commercial installation projects. • Easily add a new chargepoint to an existing project in the future. • Add project notes, upload photos, and raise support requests. For Owners: Once installed, you can take control of your chargepoint’s settings This app is solely for the purpose of managing the chargepoint’s configuration settings. I’ve just left a blistering review for another EV charging point provider. In this case there were conflicting instructions on the charging point - with us being encouraged to download both the Rolec EV Connect app and the Monta app (same charge point). The Rolec app tried to use Bluetooth to identify the point and failed. It then suggested using a barcode, which failed. I’m pretty tech savvy, but I found this so unfathomable that I gave up and tried a different charging point. Have Rolex done any serious user testing? I’m guessing not. Dreadful experience.
