RoughAnimator - animation app

Kein Schnickschnack sondern einfach die wesentlichen Tools zum Animieren. Unbegrenzte Ebenen! Einzigster Nachteil die Pinsel, können aber von woanders importiert werden. Klare Empfehlung!

manchmal beim exportieren von gifs gehen farben verloren. ansonsten echt ne gute animationsapp

I've tested this app for 5 minutes and I can already tell this is way better than any other animation app that exists for Ipad so far. Most other apps are still missing important features like holding frames, actual layers, or customizing brushes. This app also has really good pixel preservation when scaling or rotating things. Your money is well spent on this!

Since Procreate, which is great too, does not really allow animated layers, I bought Rough Animator and I am quite happy with it. Of course it is no TVPaint (which sadly is not available on iPad) but it is still very good especially for that price. I hope the brushes could become a bit better in the future (more dynamic shapes, natural behaviour) and I wish you could actually set individual layers on infinite repeat or ping pong etc. (as in TVPaint for example) I would pay more for such a bit more PRO version that could replace TVPaint when on the go.

Ich bin wirklich überzeugt von dieser App. Sie war mein Einstieg in die Animation auf dem iPad. Durch ihre einfache Benutzeroberfläche und selbsterklärende Funktionen ist sie schnell zugänglich und intuitiv nutzbar. Der Preis ist fast schon zu niedrig für all das, was man im Endeffekt bekommt. Das einzige, was ich mir manchmal wünschen würde, wären von Haus aus mehr Optionen in der Pinselauswahl, damit diese Funktion ebenfalls intuitiver und schneller von der Hand geht. Ansonsten habe ich jedoch kaum etwas auszusetzen und bin super zufrieden damit! Es macht viel Spaß damit zu arbeiten.

I bought rough animator to sketch out my animation which I am going to refine later in other programs. So far the features provided cover all of my needs. The UI serves it‘s job but could use a redesign in order to be more intuitive in terms of placing the different buttons and controls. With a little bit of optical improvement, this app could be the best for animation out there so far. Especially the wheel used to flip quickly through your frames is very useful and a core feature.

I really love animating on this app, but recently a animation won’t really play. Everytime i tried to check if it’s good and play it the app will just suddenly close. This is honestly my only problem with this app :/

Eigentlich eine tolle App, abgesehen von zwei großen Problemen. 1: wenn man png Dateien importieren möchte, wird immer ein weisser Hintergrund eingefügt (scheint ein Fehler zu sein). Neustart der App oder des Geräts helfen da leider auch nicht. 2. beim speichern eines gifs wird der Loop (welcher in der App nahtlos übergeht und funktioniert) komplett zerschossen und ruckelt im endresultat. Die Qualität wird ebenfalls willkürlich verschlechtert. Ich habe die Datei 10x in Folge gespeichert (ohne Einstellungen zu verändern) und 6 von 10 malen war es ein starker downgrade der qualität ohne einen ersichtlichen Grund. Die Animation in ein Video zu exportieren ist leider auch keine Option, da diese nur 3 Sekunden dauert und mir die App nicht erlaubt mehr Frames einzufügen oder beim speichern die Animation zu Loopen um das Video zu verlängern... Aus diesen Gründen ist die App leider nicht brauchbar für mich, weshalb ich eine Alternative suche.

Although I love the app itself, exporting layers can be a hassle with permission bugs occurring frequently. I would love if there was a way to export layers separately with one button for easy clean up in other software Without a doubt the best app on the market for its purpose. However, I would love to be able to listen to music via Bluetooth while using it. Right now it switches to ipad audio upon starting, which sucks a little. Please fi
