Routely: Smarter Driving Insights & Real-Time Crash Detection

Routely works with you to provide helpful insights into your driving behavior. Simply open the app to monitor your trips and driving data. You’ll get detailed maps of each trip, showing how far and how often you’re driving, along with any speeding, sudden braking, or distracted driving events.

New: Real-Time Crash Detection

Routely now includes crash detection technology that monitors for collisions in real time. If a crash is detected, the app can automatically call 911 or alert your emergency contacts—helping you get assistance when you need it most.

Routely does all the work for you, so you can keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

While running in the background or during a trip, Routely’s battery usage is similar to other navigation apps.

2 stars given only because it gives me a discount on my insurance. This app counted 2 airline flights at 303 mph which tanked my score and has never recovered 6 months later. If I am a passenger, it registers activities of the driver. If I have a passenger, it registers that person’s activities too. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Up until recently I would have given this app maybe 3 stars because it was just okay. It often thinks I am a driver even though I am a passenger. I actually had to reclassify one trip because I was on a plane. No, I am not driving 150mph on a runway at a major airport-duh. Make the app smart enough to filter those things out. 
But in the last month or so I’ve noticed this app uses too much power. If I am driving, my battery goes down super fast. At then end of the day over 50% of my battery usage is from this app. This needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, if I don’t use it, I don’t get my insurance discount.

Overall l do not have a problem with the app other than getting a next to zero score for the driving time of day. I work a 7p to 5a shift four days a week which pretty much makes it impossible to avoid driving during the later hours.

This morning I was driving with low power mode and this app made my phone get hot and drained my battery. I think there is a bug that needs fixing.

I can not figure out how I have no events in my app and my score does not reflect that. My husbands score is higher only because he drives more and that does not make sense to me. My app also shows that I have speeding and phone use which is impossible since the town that I live in is so small that I barely can get over on the 40 miles and I never use my phone while I am driving due to the fact everything is within a 5min drive.

The app it self feels slow including, the at fact that I have never gone over 80mph speeding and yet my score is lowered and it doesn’t show me when it happened.

I think this is a good idea that you all use the tracker. I do not mind using the tracker on my truck because I do not drive it often probably three times if that go to church and come back home to the store to the doctor and that’s it but thank you.

Very good feedback that helps make me a better driver. It does not know when I am a passenger in someone else’s car. It is easily forgotten and then it looks like I was the one making the driving error.

Ridiculous; sounds good to drive safe but doing 55mph while other fly by at 65 is not safe for anyone. I guess the insurance company’s need to get sue’d when people get rear ended while using this app to make you look like a safe driver to them. Don’t sell your data, you’ll never get the big discount they promise.

This app is supposed to record your habits while driving. It’s horrible. Shows I used my phone when I receive a text or message even though I don’t touch it. If you’re a passenger on a trip and it rates your score before you can edit the trip you’re stuck with that score. We rode in a side by side vehicle with someone else and it recorded several events I couldn’t edit. It records those “events” and effects your score the insurance company uses to “rate” your driving habits. It’s completely inaccurate. Horrible way to “rate” a driver.

There have been a handful of times that the app will track the exact same trip twice. This has happened when I was a passenger and was on my phone during the trip. When I go to the app to change the trip from driver to passenger it will only let me change it on one of the trips. The other is stuck on driver and that causes my streak to go back to zero and my score to drop. This is very aggregating and needs to be fixed ASAP!

You can’t leave a review without a star, so I wrote it in. Updated won’t open, even going into settings to try and “force” it open. When it did work, penalized for speeding when it higher speed zones. Sudden braking. Sharp turning (?)  so, zero stars.
