## Routie ~ GPS Sports Tracker Description
Routie is a simple, fast & beautiful way to track and share all your fitness activities. It uses GPS in your iPhone to track your runs, walks, bike rides, kayaking trips and more. Here are some of the more interesting features that Routie offers:


○ Interactive graphs
Explore beautiful graphs of speed and altitude for each of your tracks.

○ Take Photos
With Routie or iPhone camera and have them added to the track.

○ Statistics
View total distance, duration and route count for each of your activity. For last month, last year or All time.

○ Live metrics
During tracking, you can view current speed, current altitude, distance so far, average speed, total time and more.

○ File export
Easily export to GPX, KML or KMZ and use your data with other services

○ Open Street Maps
Apart from Apple maps, you can view your tracks on Street, Cycle or MapQuest maps.

○ Track properties
You can optionally set track name, activity and notes. You can also add placemarks to map as notes, and set captions to your photos.

○ 1 tap sharing
Share to Facebook with just one tap of a button. No typing required.

○ Auto pause
Tracking session is paused automatically when you stop moving.

○ Voice coaching
Be periodically updated about your progress via audio feedback (speech).

○ Today widget
Control tracking, view metrics and launch Routie app right from notification center.

For each of your tracks, you can view: start time, end time, distance, duration, time moving, time paused, average speed, max speed, max & min altitude and climb.

In case Routie is accidentally closed, you can restore the tracking session upon next launch. This means that you won’t loose your tracking data ever again.

○ Watch app
Use your Apple Watch as a remote control for active tracking on your iPhone. You can see live metrics in the watch app as well.


Please note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

i have used this app for over 1200 miles as i created multiple connections between Lake Erie and the Ohio River using both northbound and southbound waters and even the portages in between. i love the fact that i can take a pic and have that very location saved so that i can come back and see the young eagles fledge, or whatever my reason may be. the current and average speed help me greatly to pace myself to where i need to hang my hammock for the night while #followingwaterohio

I use this app often to track kayaking routes. The only issue I have with it is that you cannot edit the route. If it doesn’t catch the right point of if you forget to stop it. I go kayak 14 miles and forget to stop it and end up with a 74 mile route.

Then an hour later, it tells you your distance so far. This could be solved if Easily by allowing me to trim the route. Or at the very least sending a notification after a short amount of time inactivity.

I would also like for it to give average speed with the option to exclude my top speeds. Including the extremes screws up the data. Also, every run or walk, the speed through out is very jagged even though I’m pretty sure I was going the same speed at least for some portions.
