I used the app with my Apple Watch Ultra 2 with a Concept 2 RowErg and it was wildly off. Adding around 5000 meters to a 25k row. I paid so I could upload the results to C2, there’s very little detail in what’s uploaded. My hope was that I could use this in place of ErgData. It doesn’t work for this. I’ll try it on the water and see how it does.
Could be very handy, but it’s inaccurate
After using the app for a while, I find that it consistently underestimates my distance rowed on my indoor machine, and also underestimates the calories burned vs. what’s measured by my machine. I hope they fix these faults, so this becomes a truly useful app.
Fix SPM
I have used this app for on lake rowing for a few years. I have the Ultra watch. After pausing my workout, SPM does not work real time after continuing. The history does seem to be correct when viewing overall workout.
Distance rowed
After looking at your app it shows distance In miles this morning after rowing my regular route it shows 10 laps? Is there a way to get the distance in miles? Please advise! Thank you!
Doesn’t upload to Health
I had one indoor rowing session uploaded to health and pleased, I purchased a subscription. Now after purchasing, nothing gets uploaded to health, Strava, or even the phone app from the watch! The history is on the watch app but there’s no way to upload the data, the only option is “start new session”. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled, checked permissions allowing all and only the upload permissions. Nothing works. Finally, every link in the phone app works EXCEPT the one to provide feedback to the developer.
Export doesn’t work.
I cannot get rowing session from my Apple Watch into MapMyFitness. It says it can do it but lacks instructions on exactly how to make it work. I’ve spent hours trying and retrying without success.
Some metrics are accurate, others not so much
In terms of stroke rating, split time and overall GPS distance tracked, this app functions very well! However, in terms of calories burned metrics, it’s very inaccurate. Based on the split times generated for each 500 meters, you would burn significantly more calories at ~10km/hour pace than the app gives you credit for, which is incredibly frustrating for me personally.
Other than the inaccurate calorie metrics, I’m looking forward to utilising this app during my on-the-water training sessions.
the app I have been looking for!
I'm a new rower on a budget rower. I'm happy with the rower but all the apps are based on a particular rower (concept 2).
This app makes all of the other rowing machines smart by leveraging the Apple Watch to monitor heart rate and strokes.
So far I"m very impressed. The only things I have seen thus far that might need some attention:
-ability to export to Garmin Connect directly
-fix bug with tcx files so that Garmin can import them correctly
-stroke data field has sometimes shown zero for some time during a workout. the saved workout seems correct though.
All in all this is a great app for anybody on a rowing machine that is not a Concept 2. Bravo to the developer for making such a useful app.
SPM off
I really want to love this app because it’s super convenient (I use it on my Apple Watch) but stroke rate seems way low. I’ve compared to NK Stroke Coach and it’s showing a much lower rate. If this could be fixed would be a great app. I still use to get total distance, etc.
Wrong SPM recorded
The SPM on Apple Watch are wrong.
The inactive time also wrong.
Using app for standup paddleboarding.
But like that it’s recorded my distance with GPS and overall time.
