I’m fortunate to live next to a number of lines in mid city. A couple examples: I substitute teach at a local school the line goes almost door-to-door.  The other day I dropped my car off at the mechanic and took a different line to get back home.  Did the reverse and picked up my car when it was ready.
Clean buses and if you are a regular, you get to meet other regulars. Pleasant professional, drivers, and friendly people.

The app really serves no purpose when drivers still get to do what they want without consequences. You check routes based on the app and buses still come earlier or later than ended. The app will show that a bus is not coming then it randomly appears. The app often delayed. RTA needs revamping and a lot more accountability.

I used to use the RTA app to get from the airport to downtown with hardly any problems. Tried this today, during rush hour on a weekday a bus runs every 90 mins! Unreal. You’re a major urban area, get it together! Also, live tracker was down. Locals told me if I’m lucky taking RTA I’ll get downtown tonight. How is the Superbowl here this year?! It’s going to be chaos. It already was on a basic Monday. Sad to see their service get to the point of unusable.

The rampart streetcar is suspended, but the app is acting like it is still active and has no service alerts.  I had to google the info and am going yo be late because I have to use a different line after waiting 30 mins

While it's nice to have trackers on the streetcars and busses, the way RTA builds and runs the public transit here is a mess. The st Charles streetcar is my favorite form of public transit here because it's urban design is incredible and gorgeous. (Due in part because RTA didn’t design this line, it focuses more on green space and walkability than cars. Something no new lines they’ve built have been centered around) 
However, RTA cares more about catering to tourists than maintaining functional and efficient public transport. They're squandering the potential of these beautiful lite rails. They will stop cars on the tracks to a standstill for minutes at a time to chit chat with other conductors and to let the tourists switch cars. It's so annoying the way they just halt all the locals lives regularly to make the tourists have an easier time. A boy can dream that one day the New Orleans streetcar system will return to greatness, and they'll care more about keeping the local communities connected rather than putting tourists above locals.
