This app looked promising, but the camera won’t recognize the QR code no matter what I try. Stupid way to do it anyway. No reason why they didn’t have it connect via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or even the provided usb cable to a pc to change settings. Not being able to do that and set the shutter speed makes the camera useless to me. App also crashes when contacting support. Seems like actual QA/testing was not done. I finally get one and can’t even use the app because this outdated and horrible app won’t connect to the camera. I’ve read the manual and read forums and got it to connect once and then the video preview shows purple and blur streaks that are recorded when using the apps record button. But if I don’t use the app and record from the camera I have no issues with the video. Close out the app and reopen and can’t connect the camera without issues. So how am I supposed to mess with any settings when using a broken app that won’t connect half of the time. Fix your buggy app that everyone hates and fix the UI to make it less of a hassle to actually use. Update: I finally figured out the process to connect this to my iPhone. Step 1. Turn on camera and short press WiFi button Step 2. Go to WiFi networks on the iPhone and select the RunCam network. Enter passcode. Step 3. Start RunCam App and select the camera you are trying to link to. Step 4. Select link to camera.
