Review disclaimer: I only played this game for an hour, so if the game changes significantly further in, then ignore this review. I played Hearthstone for many years and was happy to try an alternative card battle game. However, the game mechanics are identical to Hearthstone, except for the average graphics and lack of voice-over. If you’ve played Heartstone, this came will be disappointing.
Good cog strategy game
Great game, love the graphics and has a lot of potential. The down side is it is without a doubt pay to win. So disappointed at this stage.
This is a very fun card game with familiar mechanics very similar to magic the gathering. The campaign mode is fun for about half an hour and then it’s suddenly incredibly difficult. Not really any other game modes to progress through without real life currency (you can play against AI like once a day). I was really excited by a card game that wasn’t solely PvP, but the PvE modes really struggle without a good alternative means of getting new cards. The natural progression isn’t as smooth as other card games.
The commander boss is too powerful. Not challenging, broken and poor design.
I have made multiple attempts to resolve issues. The making fun forum that both the eternium and runestrike game sends you to only gives you a page not found error. I have attempted to contact anyone (system admin, account manager, supervisor, and random members) but have been told I cannot post messages. I continue to play and foolishly spend money but I am tired of the issues making-lessfun in the game.
Good cards, f2p friendly, awesome game.
I love playing card based games and I really like the RPGstyle twist that was added to Runestrike. The ability to choose different champions and level provides more combinations than just building a better deck from the cards you get. It changes the strategy of the game and makes the play more interesting.
