I purchased a flight from Malaga to Dublin via Bristol the night before my 11:15am flight. I went to bed and in the morning left for the airport. Upon checking in with the attendant, she charged me €30 for not checking in online and I had to pay an extra €90 for my under 20kg bag because according to her, I had purchased the priority booking and not the luggage. I told her that I did not see the email as I was sleeping but she insisted that I should have checked in 24hrs before my flight to avoid being penalised. 
Furthermore, I am certain that I paid for luggage as it mentioned hand luggage and checked-in bag under 20kg. The email I received mentions no details & it also doesn’t mention the €30 penalty even though she insisted that the information is in the email. I then went to their customer service department and was told that I should make a complaint online. Can someone please tell me what the point is of having a Customer Service office if you cannot sort things out then and there? This is totally unacceptable!! I am from Australia and have never flown with Ryanair and thus not accustomed to what is required. Even if I had read the email in the morning, the 24hrs would have been up in any case.

I am so unimpressed with Ryan Air on every level. For a simple domestic flight they have really put me through the wringer. Every element of the process is massively over complicated. So anyway I was just trying to check in online for a domestic flight and I had to go through pages and pages or check boxes. I hired a car and wrote off ticket cost.

Avoid at all costs. The negative hype is true: Ryan air really are that awful.

I think Ryanair is mostly a well run business and they offer pretty amazing prices. But I’m constantly disappointed by all their dodgy little tricks. Like they force me to download this app (or print the boarding pass, but who has a printer on holidays). They let me check in online, but you can’t get the boarding pass without the app, which is ridiculous.

Only going for 2 days to Ibiza and flight was delayed 2 hours, therefore unable to use public transport (arriving after midnight) and shortening my already short trip. Only notified of delay 1 hr before, should be notify passengers at least 3 hrs before and enable them to cancel or change flights free of charge when airline is the cause of any type of delay. No apology from airline or staff for the inconvenience.
