The Safe Pet Treats app identifies over 30 harmful ingredients used today by many pet food manufacturers including, BHA, BHT, Ethoxyquin, Propylene Glycol, and By-Products. You no longer need to remember every single harmful or toxic pet food ingredient because this app does it for you. Just scan the barcode and in less than 2 seconds you'll instantly know if the dog or cat food is safe. This app comes in handy when you're at the pet store looking at the wall to wall selection wondering which product is safe. In addition to identifying harmful ingredients, the Safe Pet Treats app will also show you if the scanned product has been recalled by the FDA or manufacturer. Our latest update now also tells you the products True Country of Origin. Some pet food companies use labels that say Made in the USA or Manufactured in the U.S. but fail to mention where the ingredients are sourced from. Only a handful of companies are U.S. Made and Sourced, the rest are either U.S. made with imported ingredients or U.S. made with domestic and imported ingredients. For products made outside the U.S. & Canada, the app will show you that country's name, for example, "Made in China". For products made in the U.S. & Canada, the app will show you one of these results: United States sourced and made (This is the best result you could get) U.S. made with domestic and imported ingredients U.S. made with imported ingredients U.S. made with ingredient source not specified U.S. made with North American ingredients Canadian sourced and made Canadian made with domestic and imported ingredients Canadian made with imported ingredients Canadian made with ingredient source not specified Canadian made with North American ingredients This cat and dog app was made by animal lovers (just like you). We found out about the hidden dangers in pet food and now we want to alert other pet owners so that they don't feed their furry little friends harmful pet food. We're not a giant corporation and we do not have multiple apps like other app developers. This is our only app and 100% of our attention is on it. We're adding products to the Safe Pet Treats database on a daily basis and we're regularly updating the app so that you can have an app that you can rely on and help protect your pet. The Safe Pet Treats app can be used on all pet food products, not just treats. App features include: •Scan barcodes at the pet store and identify bad dog or cat food ingredients. •Instantly know if the product has been recalled by the FDA. •Instantly know the products True Country of Origin. •Add up to 10 additional ingredients that you would like to avoid. A great feature in case your dog or cat is allergic to certain ingredients. •Manually search through our massive FDA pet food recall database. •Receive push notification alerts the moment the FDA or pet food company recalls a product. Our latest notification read ""Attention Dog Owners - Evanger's Brand Recall. Click here for more details"". •Tap on any harmful ingredients found to learn more about them. This app does not display advertisements. The Safe Pet Treats app uses a subscription model in order to cover hosting, database and development fees. These payments will be charged to your iTunes account after the 1-week free trial is over. Each subscription is automatically renewed unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. The .99¢ a month renewal or a $9.99 annual renewal will be charged within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. My issue is the scanner. It used to work most of the time, and now it barely ever works. I do not have an old phone, so that is not the issue. -- CSB14, 2025-08-15 ### *---- "Used to Love" I used to love this app. But all of a sudden my scanner stopped working. I have been trying to get in touch with the company for months and I never get a response even though my subscription is up-to-date and paid. Frustrated -- Dee Rollins, 2025-06-05 ### *---- "Poor Scanner and Search Quality" When I could get it to actually scan, it was helpful but scanner worked 2/10 and search rendered nothing -- accurate and quick delivery, 2025-03-14 ### ***** "Love this app!" It’s difficult to purchase products for pets when they hide dangerous ingredients in their period this app has been a lifesaver! I am a certified behavior expert and we recommended often to our clients. -- CatLadyLinda, 2025-03-11 ### *---- "Not a lot of information" This is not a user-friendly app it was not even worth the $.99 a month. I scanned a lot of the items that I scanned there was no information on ingredients was available. I would not recommend. -- NL 21784, 2025-01-04 ### **--- "Hardly Any Reviews" I just started using the app. Out of all the things I scanned so far, about 10 maybe, only 3-4 had an update. No review on food quality for the rest I scanned which was pretty disappointing considering I have to pay for the app after 1 week of use. Also, it might be good to add a feature that allows me to see the items I’ve already scanned. Similar to the Yuka app I currently use for food and cosmetics. It allows me to scan quality and saves all previously scanned items for me to view later. If the product I’ve scanned does not pass Yuka’s quality check it also provides me with similar products that do pass the quality check. -- Guacamole&chips, 2024-12-28 ### *---- "Waste of money" App does not work at all. Scanning features and search features do not work. -- scubaturtlej, 2024-12-28 ### *---- "Doesn’t work" App makes you pick a subscription plan to even try it out. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and went ahead and did it. But upon entry, it doesn’t even work. I really wanted to like this but unfortunately can’t. -- LunaCoonec, 2024-08-16 ### *---- "Ussless" Tried using scanner on Royal Canin Cat food, nothing happened. -- Solstizio62, 2024-08-03 [View all Safe Pet Treats reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Safe Pet Treats In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | SafePetTreatsApp | $7.99 | ## Safe Pet Treats Discovered Keywords - cat type - pet scan - app for dog free - pet scanner - safe pet treats - cat scanner app - cat scanner - cat scan ## Apps Similar to Safe Pet Treats - [Toxic Plant: Pet Poison Guide](https://apptail.io/app/toxic-plant-pet-poison-guide-apr/united-states) - [Cat Breed Identifier: Pet Scan](https://apptail.io/app/cat-breed-identifier-pet-scan-njD/united-states) - [Dogr - Dog in Heat & Pregnancy](https://apptail.io/app/dogr-dog-in-heat-pregnancy-cMZc/united-states) - [Die BARF App: Futterplan](https://apptail.io/app/die-barf-app-futterplan-Kgyd/united-states) - [Instachew Infinity](https://apptail.io/app/instachew-infinity-aqLd/united-states) - [Pup to Date - Puppy Schedule](https://apptail.io/app/pup-to-date-puppy-schedule-MQje/united-states) - [Dog Training Clicker](https://apptail.io/app/dog-training-clicker-TStg/united-states) - [Dog Teaser - Sounds for Pets](https://apptail.io/app/dog-teaser-sounds-for-pets-hYtg/united-states) - [TopiBowl](https://apptail.io/app/topibowl-Futp/united-states) - [Pet Scanner by Animal ID](https://apptail.io/app/pet-scanner-by-animal-id-KNAp/united-states) ## Safe Pet Treats Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/safe-pet-treats-xend/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/safe-pet-treats-xend/canada) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
