PACKED WITH REAL TIME DATA
Each boat is fitted with 1,200 data points, tracking every second of the race and syncing with your SailGP app in real time. As the teams battle it out to reach the finish line first, you’ll be able to customise the app, to view the data and stats that interest you the most. From Wind Speed and Velocity Made Good, to Time To Mark and Leg Number, just tap any stat in the app to learn more.

CHANGE VIEWS AND CAMERA ANGLES
Choose how you view the race by tailoring the stats that you see on your screen. Default mode includes a larger video with less stats or you can opt for Advanced mode which makes the video smaller and shows you lots more data.

NO SPOILER MODE
As SailGP operates across multiple time zones, you have the option to turn off spoilers and hide all results until you have watched the race.

Does’t work

Creating an account is required and it gets stuck loading during the creation process.

Complete garbage

The irony that sailing is so high tech and yet they can’t get a simple app to work is embarrassing. You can’t access the app without having an account, but they can’t figure out how to let you create an account. Thus the app is 100% useless and does not provide any value.

Seriously buggy account creation and log-in

Would love to use the app, but something is seriously buggy with the account creation and log-in. You create an account and password only to have it tell you repeatedly that there’s an error. I know SailGP is trying to grow and increase fan engagement, but they’re never going to get there with issues like this. Uninstalled the app since I never got to actually use it. Needs improvement.

This latest upgrade rendered the app unavailable!

Abysmal performance

App spins around uselessly never connecting. Do NOT waste your time with it. Just visit the SailGP website, that runs fine.

Crashes at login

I have this app on my phone and it’s great but on the iPad it just crashes after trying to log in. All support links just take me to irrelevant pages.

Latest Update Ruins It

Up until a month ago, the app was absolutely amazing, and a wonderful way to follow the events. The latest change trying to force users to make accounts is the wrong move. I’ve been a loyal SailGP fan since Day 1 and I don’t need any silly blockchain gimmicks to prove it. Please bring back the old app and drop NEAR like a sack of bricks.

Invasion of privacy

Update: 3.0.3 still requires an account and is an invasion of privacy. If they would just drop the birthdate requirement I might consider using it. But as it is, no. Original review: I don’t care about loyalty points or rewards. I don’t care about homepage customization or NEAR integration. I use the app to stay up to date with news and watch videos and the real time race data. If the app is going to require an account and ask for things like birthdate and location, I will not use it. Basically, I want the old app. I can’t even tell what the new app is like because I can’t get in without the account. Keep the old app and if people want the new “perks”, then ask for an account.

Embarrassing poor.

App design is embarrassingly bad. Can’t even delete the account as the email address is invalid. My review with the invalid email address Apple completely deletes. Ha ha ha! And the IQs keep dropping. Since I can’t delete my account, I deleted the app. Another negative experience with an Apple App and Apple. Congratulations!

Now requires an account to open?

I love Sail GP racing and bought tickets to see the event in Long Beach over the weekend. I’ve also enjoyed this app for as long as it has been out. But now it appears I must create an account and give a great deal of personal info to even open the app. This should be optional, not a requirement. I don’t want my info used or sold for more marketing. What a shame; I’ll be deleting the app.
