Salesforce Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts as a strong, out-of-band authentication provider. The app sends you a push notification, and you tap 'Approve' for logins and critical actions when it's you, or 'Deny' if it's not. For even more convenience, Salesforce Authenticator can use location services to automatically verify from locations you trust, like your office or home. Better yet, Einstein can save trusted requests for you! Then you need only respond to notifications when something out-of-the-ordinary happens.

You can also get a verification code when you need one. The codes also work as a backup authentication method if you're on a plane, or have poor connectivity. This means Salesforce Authenticator also works with third-party services that use OATH TOTP tokens.

Requires to authenticate on a dayli basis

This thing is so annoying, you have to authenticate every day compare to O365 Authenticator. And if you want to automate authentications this app asks you to run on a background. Seriously ???

Fix the location remembering

The location option just does not work. I am constantly approving it to remember my location and it only works maybe 5% of the time. Please fix

Completely Unnecessary

Why does this exist? Ever since this was put out the reports we use have been broken. Making extra work for no reason. At least make this optional.

Wants permissions beyond reason

SF documentation indicates that any RFC-compliant TOTP program would work. SFCC does not permit anything except this piece of garbage which is now the fourth unique identifier program I have for different services who refuse to use well-known standards. It wants location services and notification services for dubious reasons. Denied, but no simple authenticator should ever request or require either of these. Complete garbage.

Watch app

It says it has a watch app but to date I have not found it, or turn it on.

Huge bug needs to be fixed please

There is a problem on my iPhone 11 - ios15 that causes the “authenticate” view on the app to keep appearing. The only way I can use this app is by holding the notification and approving that way. This issue has existed for 8 months now, the only way to fix is to delete the app and reinstall, but then after a few days it occurs again.
