Description

Salesforce Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts as a strong, out-of-band authentication provider. The app sends you a push notification, and you tap 'Approve' for logins and critical actions when it's you, or 'Deny' if it's not. For even more convenience, Salesforce Authenticator can use location services to automatically verify from locations you trust, like your office or home. Better yet, Einstein can save trusted requests for you! Then you need only respond to notifications when something out-of-the-ordinary happens.
You can also get a verification code when you need one. The codes also work as a backup authentication method if you're on a plane, or have poor connectivity. This means Salesforce Authenticator also works with third-party services that use OATH TOTP tokens.

What’s the point?

This is useless and stupid. Not sure why it’s a requirement. I suppose only for some “security” nonsense.

A sad state of affairs

Unnecessary bloat ware that has somehow wormed its way (pun intended) into previously excellent software. This app brought my anger from 0 to 9/10 two seconds after I learned of its existence. This review is part of the healing process. This app may be the end of me one day for cardiac reasons.

Needs a distinct icon

It works okay, but I can’t always find it on my screens. It should have a branded icon. The location-based authentication isn’t working for me.

Crashes for Basic Function

First time using the app. Tried to register with Heroku on the app and crashed. Next thing you know nothing appears in the app, and Heroku is still sending push notifications to the app for sign in, which does nothing because app still thinks it needs to register Heroku. Hire smarter programmers. It would help the world a lot. Thanks

App is not populating in location services and not allowing me to set up automation. Extremely, frustrating.

Requires to authenticate on a dayli basis

This thing is so annoying, you have to authenticate every day compare to O365 Authenticator. And if you want to automate authentications this app asks you to run on a background. Seriously ???

Fix the location remembering

The location option just does not work. I am constantly approving it to remember my location and it only works maybe 5% of the time. Please fix

Completely Unnecessary

Why does this exist? Ever since this was put out the reports we use have been broken. Making extra work for no reason. At least make this optional.
