## Salomon Custom Heat Connect Description
No more cold feet during your ski day. The Custom Heat Connect app, used with compatible Salomon boots, will give you a new experience in your favorite alpine skiing practice. Salomon Custom Heat Connect is the air conditioning of your feet!

 • Once the application is downloaded, easily and quickly pair your compatible ski boots via Bluetooth.
 • Set the ideal temperature inside your liners: The system will regulate and maintain this ideal temperature throughout your day whatever the external conditions and taking into account your situation: Whether you are on the chairlift by -15°C or quietly drinking hot chocolate in a bar, you will never get too hot or too cold thanks to the built-in thermostatic function.
 • Do you dream of jumping in already warm shoes after breakfast? nothing more simple thanks to the programmable function: define the beginning and the end of the heating time to directly enjoy the first tracks of the morning.
 • Finally, a "full power" function allows you to reach the maximum heat (25 °C) in a few minutes.

The heating element is located on the instep and diffuses a homogeneous and healthy heat which avoids the sensation of burns if it were placed on the sole under the metas.

The charging time in use varies according to the intensity required as well as the outside temperature: it is thus between 4 and 18 hours.

The time required to fully recharge the batteries is 6 hours on a standard 220V power outlet.

The integrated heating system of the liners can also be used independently without the application, the control’s buttons being autonomous.

### *---- "Worst Battery Killer of All Time."
This may be one of the worst apps ever. When you install it and actually get it to connect to your boots, it leaves the Bluetooth connection open. Even if you close the app completely. The result? 10-15% battery lost in about 1/2 hour. Completely drained my iPhone 14 Pro Max in an hour and a bit. 

Don’t install it. Just press the buttons on the boots.

Bought these boots on a ski trip out west and of course they worked fine the first 3 times I used them. Then they were just a HUGE disappointment. Won’t stay connected. Won’t heat up much even if I turn them in at the boot. I’m back to using old school toe warmers and feel like I got scammed out of my money by Solomon. Impossible to find a manual online to even understand the color/light system. And no word from them on why this junky system doesn’t work. Booo Solomon

### *---- "iPhone app doesn’t detect boots at all"
Powered up the boots, neither the app nor the Bluetooth settings detect the boots. My Android and my  windows 10 laptop both detect the boots. 2 additional iPhones with iOS 14 will not detect the boots in either the app or in Bluetooth.

I was skeptical after reading the first two reviews, I purchased the 2020 Salomon 120 Pro heat ski boot downloaded the app and worked first time, I like that in the app you can control the temp by degrees, I had the 2018 pro heat model and you only had low,med,and high settings. So far so great I’d love theses boots!

This app is basically not functional. Each time I try to connect the app to the boots via Bluetooth pairing, I get an error message. I once got them to pair, but they disconnected during the day on the mountain. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the temperature set on the app does not match the temperature displayed on the boots via the three-color system (I only observed this the one time the boots paired). The boots themselves are great and I have really enjoyed the use of the heaters by manually turning them on. But if you’re going to promote the app and make us pay for it in the cost of the boots, at least make sure it works. Yeesh. Not worth the extra money.

Does not work properly. Temperature displayed does not match the setting it is supposed to be at. No real control at all via app. Can’t understand why they would release something clearly not functional. At this point paying extra for heated boots really gets you nothing.

The app has a slider to control temperature between 68-104 degrees. Unlike the photos of the app, the slider and target temperature do not match. It only shows a target temperature of 77 degrees while the slider is set at 104. On this setting, I still see the blue indicator on my boots, which indicates the power is on low. I never see the expected yellow comfort zone indicator. Only if I press the app’s high button do I see the indicator change to red. It’s either really high or low, but no comfort zone. 

I’ve also observed different behavior testing outside in the cold Vs inside my home. While outside, with the slider slightly above the lowest setting, the red indicator light was shown. I assume the boots are increasing power in order to reach the target temperature? I suspect when indoors, it doesn’t need as much power to maintain the current temperature; thus, the blue indicator light is shown? 

Without good documentation, the behavior is very confusing to say the least. Unfortunately, temperature for the XP 100 Heat Connect can only be adjusted via the app, essentially leaving my $600 ski boots useless.
