## Salter Cook Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***-- "Could be a great App"
I do find this app convenient to save my recipes. When I first started using this app it would seamlessly import recipes from web pages but for a long long time now it will only import the ingredients list leaving the method and picture to be added manually.
So for me to make this a great app they needed to 1: fix the import of recipes &
2: they need to add the ability to lock the device from closing. This is often found on recipes on the web so that one doesn’t have to keep opening your device (iPhone, iPad) often with messy hands!
-- hutowner, 2026-01-02

### ***** "Worried"
This is a fantastic app does everything needed so perfectly. There has been no update for a very very long time and am wondering what the long term plans for this app are. I would be lost and devastated if this app suddenly stopped working.
-- Theo_T, 2025-04-14

### ***-- "Nearly there"
UI needs some attention and the importing from internet rarely works. But using the app during a recipe is fine.
-- Nastymatt, 2025-02-16

### *---- "Salter scale"
Bought through Amazon. I can’t connect with my phone…… doesn’t work. I think I will return
-- Cdfggyrr, 2024-02-02

### *---- "Not accessible with VoiceOver"
We love Salter’s taking kitchen scales. Sadly they no longer make them. So, I thought I’d try a Bluetooth connected scale in the hope that the VoiceOver screen reader would read out the weight. VoiceOver doesn’t even see the weight on the screen. Please, please change the app so that VoiceOver can read the weight out.
-- KeefDu, 2023-02-04

### **--- "Can't work out how to use it."
Can't find any manual or help, and can't work out how to do half the things out claims to do.
-- digitig, 2022-09-28

### ***** "The only recipe app I use!"
Great app for storing and cataloging all your favourite recipes and even better if you have some of the compatible Salter scales, the built in timers are useful!
Love how it scales the recipes up or down when you alter the number of portions, most recipes are easily added from the internet, with some requiring simple copy and paste of ingredients and methods to complete.
Great how it syncs all recipes across my iPad and iPhone, handy to have when shopping or just browse recipes when out and about!
-- GP1241, 2020-10-25

### ****- "Broken"
Was a great app until GPDR pop ups broke it, now it can’t pull in content from the web which means it’s becoming useless. Please fix it, you had a great app.
-- Blakes7Fan, 2019-11-09

### ***-- "Review of thermometer"
Overall not a bad app, but ... three major niggles:
1 - the thermometer loses connection if switching between different views in the app.
2 - the timer audio alert only lasts for about five seconds.
3 - would be handy to have an overall view page for timer and both temperature levels.
