What does “relative to celestial time” actually mean? What is the clock icon in scenes - is the scene active when it’s light or dark? There’s no help function to help you understand the app. The TV control feature doesn’t use voice activation. There are a a lot of nice features, but I often get irritated using it.
I find that the app is not flexible. In the way I can customize the screens I want to see. Also the interaction with my iPhone and the home app is clunky. Siri does not work with the app. Then they want to keep charging for different versions with not much to offer in a flexible designable app that communicates well with all other devices in my property.. Hopefully AI will be incorporated so the app could be smarter and carry out voice commands.
Always a challenge to get different rooms to play music
The interface is not consistent. And if I’d known I would have to have a Savant technician make simple changes that an end user should be able to do, I never would have bought the system.
Voice commands for scenes completely broken after the latest update.
Personally I find the app easy to use and you arent timid to any modern technology, gives me the ability to make scenes without the need to call someone out if i change my mind, the user interface is very straight forward and the audio streaming is amazing… the only big flaws i find to this system is the need for licenses to do lighting and the Savant lighting is fairly unreliable in the home but besides that everything else in the eco system is fairly robust
Update: The clock on my remote is out of sync and there’s no support or way to fix it. I have to “call my integrator.” Seriously, I need an integrator to fix the clock on the remote? This is total garbage, as I’m not spending $300 so my “integrator” can fix the clock, only for it to go out of sync again. This system is a prison with quicksand floors. This system is like a prison sentence and the warden is your integrator. Once set up, you (personally), have no ability to make changes and there’s no support. If you need assistance, you need to contact your integrator, which means big $$$ and it never ends. Plus, the remote is lousy and costs a fortune. My integrator set up my system with cable television and Sonos for music. I’ve since left cable for YouTube TV but can’t get rid of the cable feature on my remote and can’t add YouTube TV to it. My integrator needs to do these things for me, which costs big $$$ for a house cal. If I leave YouTube TV for Hulu… boom! You got it, same thing. As for Sonos, the integration is so poor, it’s not even worth using, so I don’t listen to my music with Savant. Now there’s a new Music integration, but I can’t set it up because you guessed it, I need an integrator to do it for me, which costs big $$$. Sound redundant yet? This system might work okay if you have a ton of money and don’t care about being in control of the tech in your house. If you like to have control and you like to customize things without having to call an integrator each time, you will hate Savant. I for one, can’t stand it.
Why can you no longer control the volume while using AirPlay for music?
GE C app encouraged me to download this app and create an account to manage my home. Now what? The app says I don’t have any homes to manage. I’ve created an account. This is not a great nor even a good customer experience. Please advise.
Easily gets off sync. TV - Comcast in sync easily. Needs better synchronization with internet music and radio apps
