Using savvy navy
I recently purchased the app for a long trip. I found it easy to use and very helpful. The user guides and tutorials are also well put together. John

Nice charts and some good features, but the route planning is not as good as Navionics and Savvy Navvy is twice the price and more than three times the price of Angel Nav.
I have used the app on the Deben and the North Sea over the last month also on lake Garda where the route planning worked by extremely well
Fairly easy to use and gives accurate information on routes including wind speed, currents, weather, when to tack and when there is insufficient wind to fill the sails so under power, nothing extra to pay for charts as there all there. Ian
ideal for the small boat sailer, runs from an app on your smartphone/iPad
Fantastic app , I’m very new to sailing so needed something simple to use and has all the features This is the one for me has all weather tides everything I need .
This is absolutely amazing technology far more easy to use than the installed boat system . Looking forward to using on the west coast of Scotland that has rock hazards everywhere At under a hundred pounds a year it’s a life saver.
Savvy “increased” the annual subscription from £69.99 to an eye watering £89. Better alternative is the free app Orca. No point in getting ripped off.
So easy to use if you can use a car sat nav you will have no problems
Wouldn’t normally make the effort to write a review for an app as there’s always so many previous reviews, however on this occasion I’ll make an exception! Have been using Savvy Navvy now for almost 2 years and I have to say, it’s brilliant. Was initially very apprehensive about forking out £80+ for the full version but I have to say, I don’t go out on the water without it now. I use it when out on my RHIB, and have used it at sea, estuaries and inland waterways. Would highly recommend and it is much cheaper than buying a GPS plotter etc… I have an old iPad in a waterproof case, tether an internet connection via my phone when required and have the iPad mounted to the centre console where I can plug in to a 12v supply. Definitely a good bit of kit
