Scaniverse - 3D Scanner

Love the app! Im a huge fan of this scanner app because it’s the best app I have found so far. Now what I would like you to do is just do a really really big update even if it takes ages, just do it because I want it to improve and get better quality, now I do want you to improve the splat mode a long and I also would like you to make the splat mode handle like almost room sized scans. It would be helpful if you did all of these, but still I’m impressed a lot right now.

So far this is proving to be very easy to use and giving good scans

This app is from the year 3000. Done a few “Splats” so far and the results are mind blowing. Only thing is I’m not understanding how this can possibly be free. I’m just waiting for the subscription pop up to appear at some point. Seems too good to be true.

I wasn’t expecting much from this app but when I used it I realised how crazy it really was. The scans look like real life. Specially in the AI mode. And best of all it’s all free. I was never expecting it to be free. I love this app

Love this app and works really well with my Unreal Engine environment art. I also use Reality scan but seem to get quicker better results with this App. Highly recommend.

Blown away with how good this free app is, gave it 4 stars as I’m struggling to get a perfect scan but that could be how I’m trying to scan objects.

The app crashes when you try to save the splat after processing on iPhone SE 3

The introduction of AI is a game changer. With mesh capture you have to take great care not to go over the same area multiple times. With splatting, the reverse is true. My family thought the results were photos, until they moved their finger on the image. Jaws literally dropped. Simply awesome.

Although this app can’t do something’s is it absolutely brilliant what it can do if you do it right.

Bought iPhone 14 Pro specifically for the LiDAR Sensor. this app makes that purchase worth it. I plan to use this and other equipment I have to create Vr experiences and apps and this app is instrumental in that one of the best I’ve come across and free too can not be sniffed at this app was the main reason I bought apple I suppose I gotta get a m1 Mac mini now…. Edit:- Thank you for this app it is the sole reason I bought into apple devices again for lidar scanning adding Gaussian splatting is a step beyond I would appreciate it if you could go one step further and implement a system for processing ordinary .ply files into Gaussian splats and also allowing the upload of pointclouds files to be uploaded into Scaniverse so as to be able to process older .ply files that were captured with older devices I have numerous .ply files from dot product dp8 handheld pointcloud scanner and would like to be able to turn them into higher quality model by being allowed to work on ordinary .ply files that we can push to the iPhone for processing that would be a brilliant feature set to add and make Scaniverse the first in the world to convert ordinary .ply files into Gaussian splats
